Anyone have any insight? Seems like anything that isn't Bosch or Avinox is considered whack. Also not sure about longevity of these motors.

Curious to hear what your philosophy is on stockpiling things when they’re on sale. Have you ever purchased something in bulk because it seemed like an incredible deal and you were convinced you’d absolutely need or use it eventually, only to realize later that you didn’t actually need it, didn’t use nearly as much as expected, or simply bought more than you could realistically go through? How do you decide when a sale is worth buying extra versus when you’re just buying something because it’s a good deal?

I've been using a bike rack on my civic for a while and I feel like the car is working very hard to compensate for the levered weight. Looking to trade in for a Rav4 or CRV but curious if a MTB (with front wheel removed) would fit inside either of these with an axle mount installed. Would be preferable to travel with the bike inside the cabin. Cheers!

Kind wish Norco and Orbea did frame sets. Maybe one day.

Anyone else? Not interested in no-name Aliexpress framesets or buying a sale bike and trying to recoup by selling low spec OEM parts.

Sometimes when I'm at a trailhead chatting to analogue riders about the benefits of riding an eMTB, I feel like I sound like I’ve joined a cult. And after we finish chatting some of them actually say, Damn I need an e-bike.

For instance, I was usually riding once a week for an hour or two. Now I’m riding three times a week for 1–2 hours, still strength training twice a week, and still walking my dogs for about 1.5 hours a day. I'm in better shape mostly because I’m riding way more and not torching my nervous system.

Hard climbs are something to attack rather than struggle through. I aim to keep my heart rate around 140/50 instead of reaching max.

Boring trails are now interesting. Flats, XC loops, weird connectors, trails I never bothered exploring before because they were too out of the way are all now fun.

Also, more laps mean more practice. I’m setting PRs on climbs/descents, even Strava top 10s.

And the week-long bike trips I used to avoid because I wouldn't' have the energy to ride multiple days in a row are now happening.

Curious how others explain their experience to analogue friends without sounding like you’re part of a cult.

Riding a Marin Alpine Trail e2 with removable BT-EN806, Internal 630Wh battery. I'm wondering if I buy a replacement battery online, if there are any additional parts I need to bolt on to the battery to do a hot swap in the parking lot (end caps, snap on mechanisms, etc.). I know Marin sells replacement bolt-on dirt covers that attach to the battery which I will need to purchase, but I'm wondering about the battery interface. Thanks!

Curious what kind of longevity people are actually getting out of their motors in real-world use.

Not interested in "my buddy's cousin's Bosch is still going strong". I want to hear from people who have actually racked up serious mileage on a single original motor, no replacements.
