Apple won't send me my replacement product or lift credit hold

My partner's wired Apple earpods (with the lightning connector) broke after 3 months of use. Apple apparently offer a repair/replacement service under warranty that would allow my partner to get a replacement pair, so long as the faulty pair is returned to them. The process was supposed to go like this:

  1. Apple puts a £29 credit hold on her card
  2. Apple sends the new pair of earpods and an enclosed returns label
  3. We return the broken pair with said label.
  4. Credit hold gets lifted

This process has been a nightmare. After a month and a half of having this credit hold on her card (and numerous calls to check in on the progress of the delivery, which was about 30 days late), we were finally sent the new pair of earpods. However, they've sent the wrong model, and they've sent it without the returns label to facilitate returning the broken pair.

So now we have a broken pair of earpods, the wrong model of new earpods, and the credit hold still in place (as we have no way to return the faulty product).

After talking with live support on the phone for well over an hour, we were told that we'd have to email someone who emailed us about the replacement to tell them that we need a returns label. Then, we need to return the faulty pair with that label, and then we'll get our £29 back.

Sorry?? So we're not getting the replacement product that we're owed under warranty, and we have to chase up the right departments at Apple (not them), just to get them to send the return label that they forgot to send, just so that we can then return the broken product and not get anything back for it? Wtf?

Kind of appalled at the level of customer service on display here. It's not the be-all and end-all, it's only a pair of headphones, but we thought this would be a very simple process. They have completely messed us around at every juncture, and now we don't even know whether we're going to get this credit hold lifted, much less the actual product we're owed. We don't really know what to do at this point.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi,

My partners email was hacked, and we’re fairly confident we’ve stopped everything malicious from happening by doing all the best practices. We don’t think any actual damage has been done.

However, the hackers have left what feels like hundreds of thousands of these threatening Draft emails in the inbox, all of which are pinned and flagged. We’ve manually deleted about 40,000 of them (in the hopes that there weren’t too many), but it’s obviously getting to be ridiculous now.

Is there not some way to be able to mass select and delete all of these malicious drafts? They all have the same subject line, so I thought I’d be able to search for that subject line and delete all, but it only does 1,000 at a time.

These are all drafts, not actual emails that have been sent. We tried emptying the draft folder at the beginning obviously but I suppose since they’ve been pinned/flagged, this hasn’t gotten rid of them.

Is there a way to deal with these all at once?
