Favorite male/female friendships
I really adore Ellie and Lorenzo’s relationship…the two were always cackling over something or other and he backed her *hard* in that villa. I know they all leave saying “friends for life” but I genuinely hope those two will actually keep in touch. Despite Lorenzo’s faults, he seems like he’s an incredible friend.
What are some of your favorite platonic relationships from any season of LIUK??
Loose bridge question
What do you do when you have a 3 unit bridge that’s only loose on one abutment? I’m always super hesitant to tug on the other tooth if it’s still adequately cemented because I don’t want to damage the underlying prep. I’d also rather not section and remake the bridge if I don’t have to.
Lorenzo reminds me of Ekin-Su
Because why does he call her Julia with the full J when everyone else is pronouncing her name as Yulia??
Ekin called Davide “Da-VEE-day” for half the season when everyone else was saying “DA-vee-day”.
How are you with these people for so long and not learning how to pronounce their names properly?
Suggestion for the mods: temp ban for users posting spoilers for episodes that haven’t aired yet
The amount of users who blatantly don’t care about ruining future episodes for the rest of us is too damn high. Why is there not a consequence implemented for those users who continue to do it? It feels like this is the only way to make it stop. I want to be able to participate in discussion but I’m avoiding the sub more often than not because of the lack of consideration for the Hulu schedule which is the entire point of the freaking sub.
Please implement some changes.
Doctor told me I didn’t need to taper and now I’m regretting it
I was on 12.5mg for 8 weeks and decided to stop taking the med as I was still experiencing pretty significant side effects to the point where my doctor didn’t want me to up my dose. He told me to just stop taking it as my dose was so low that he didn’t feel a need for me to taper.
I am now regretting that to the point where I am considering switching doctors for I feel I was led down the wrong path and I’m suffering because of it.
I have been off the med for 3.5 weeks now and I am reading into everything my body is doing and stressing out about it.
I’m getting sporadic waves of mild panic. They’re not panic attacks or anything, it’s just like, a sick sense of dread in my throat and chest. They’re not triggered by anything, I felt one today while watching tv…Love Island, so not even anything stressful or scary.
I got on Zoloft because I was having chronic muscle pain, that I believed was anxiety related, mostly in my trap muscles. That pain has now spread through my entire body and I’m feeling a lot of muscle fatigue without cause. I’ve been trying to do more yoga which seems to provide temporary relief but my entire body just feels tight. Im not even getting relief at night while sleeping. I’ve been taking magnesium glycinate supplements but it doesn’t seem to be helping.
I’m still getting sporadic muscle twitching in my left hand. This was never present prior to starting Zoloft and started during my onboarding of the med. I work with my hands so this is concerning. I’ve also had mild tingling in my extremities but taking B12 daily seems to have lessened that effect.
Someone please help me to know if this is normal or if I should be concerned. I’m very tired of overanalyzing my body because it is extremely triggering for my health anxiety. Thanks in advance!
Also I want to thank this sub for helping me through my, albeit, brief time on this med. I went through hell to try to make this med work for me but I gave it a fair shot and couldn’t have done so without your guys’ support. I’m obviously disappointed this didn’t work for me but I’m thankful for the people here and I hope everyone finds the relief they’re looking for.
Knew Priya’s outfit looked familiar
Worn by Maddy in Euphoria!
Someone please tell Simba to never wear these swim trunks again.
Genuinely thought there was a naked man on my screen.
I’m enjoying this season but it feels lazy (spoilers for ep23)
I know the challenges have been dying for some time now but I feel like we’ve barely even had fire pit games. Maybe if the sleepover bombshells got to play a game at the main villa, they would’ve stood a chance at sticking around.
Maya hasn’t been there since literally day one.
The villa feels like it’s on “choose your own adventure” mode right now. There’s been no public vote, they had to choose among themselves for coupling up, and now they had to choose among themselves for the latest elimination. It feels really low effort overall. I’m glad the cast is keeping things interesting on their own because otherwise this would be a struggle.
**Also please don’t post spoilers for any episode beyond 23 as it hasn’t dropped on Hulu for us yet!**
Help with taper from 12.5mg
I’ve been on 12.5 for just shy of 8 weeks. Please no comments about therapeutic dose, I was working through this with my doctor given my hypersensitivity to medications. Ultimately, I do not feel this med is right for me and my doctor has advised me to stop.
He told me to just stop taking it but I spoke to my pharmacist who recommended increasing the timing between doses from daily to every other day to 2-3 days between doses.
Since I’ve only been on this for a short time, does anyone have any idea as to how long I can expect to experience withdrawals? I’m genuinely terrified at going through a different level discomfort considering how miserable I’ve been for the past 2 months with side effects. Any advice would be really helpful as I feel I’m getting contradicting info from my psychiatrist and pharmacist. Thanks!
Saddle stool recs please!
Back/neck pain is starting to become pretty unbearable as of late. I have ergo loupes, I’ve done PT, so I feel like the next thing is to try a new chair. Our chairs at the office are old AF with no ergonomic benefit and I got snapped at by owner doc last time I asked for a new chair so I may end up just buying one for myself. Since I’ll likely be investing in one on my own, I want to make sure I’m making the best choice. I know there’s differences sometimes in design preference between men and women but I am a woman, if that helps at all. Let me know your recs! TIA!
Muscle pain?
I’ve been on 12.5mg for 5.5 weeks. I’ve been dealing with pretty chronic muscle pain in my neck and shoulders for quite a while now, which I believe is stress related, but it’s gotten quite a bit worse within the past couple of weeks which I feel like is related to the Zoloft because I’m feeling it in areas that have never given me issue before, like my legs. Did anyone else experience this and does it go away? The muscle pain was a huge part of why I got on a medication so dealing with worsened pain is really discouraging. I basically feel like I need to keep stretching and flexing my muscles in my entire body. I haven’t noticed a noticeable increase in clenching/grinding of my teeth, which I know is common, but I wear a nightguard every night anyway so I don’t believe that’s contributing.
I’m getting really frustrated with this onboarding process in general. My doctor wants to wait for my side effects to lessen before potentially increasing the dose (I’m very sensitive to meds) but I’ll be at 6 weeks next weekend and still feel terrible. I’m feeling really defeated overall.
Weird side effect—physical numbness?
Google tells me this happens to about 2% of people but there’s no info as to how long it may take to resolve. I’m just over 3 weeks on 12.5mg and tonight I started getting tingling in my ring and pinkie fingertips on my right hand. It’s my dominant hand and I work with my hands for a living so obviously I am freaking the hell out. Has anyone experienced this? How long did it take to resolve? TIA.
I’ve been pretty vocally struggling with my side effects on only 12.5mg. I’m on day 19 today and I feel like I’m finally starting to get some relief with certain effects while others continue to pester me.
Nausea has been almost entirely eliminated, my GI issues have been better over the past couple of days, I’m sleeping better overall, but I’m now getting dizziness and the anxiety is still quite heightened, especially in the mornings.
I’ve felt no benefit at all yet but I know 4-6 weeks is the sweet spot for a lot of people. He’s basically told me if I don’t feel better in the next 3 weeks, he wants me to come off the med. I’m gonna be so frustrated if I went through all of this torture to never actually feel improvement. Should I be worried about the new dizziness? Is heightened anxiety at this point still normal? I’m trying to push through to the other side of this but I’m now nervous that maybe I did all of this for nothing.
I’m on week 3 of 12.5mg and this just started yesterday. It’s short lived when it occurs, just a quick wave, but it’s obviously very disorienting and the heightened anxiety and anticipation that results from it lingers for quite a while.
I did take 20mg of propranolol on Monday and again on Tuesday (with my doctors permission), so I thought maybe that was contributing, but I haven’t taken any in 24+ hours and still getting the waves of dizziness.
I’m dealing with lots of “typical” side effects which I’ve learned to expect but this is new and freaking me out so I want to know if anyone else has dealt with this and how long it lasted. Thanks in advance!
