If you reherniated, what specifically did it?
(please give specific detail) & how far out? thank you
(please give specific detail) & how far out? thank you
This question is for the heel (shoes 👠 ) wearing ppl.
When if ever did you feel comfortable wearing say, a low kitten heel or even a higher heel. I’m nervous to try ~5 mo po… But as long as there is no re herniation stories from wearing them I will need to try at some point. I can stand and walk on my tip toes barefoot fine at this point so far.
What’s y’all’s opinion on this? I’m talking 5+ hour flights, when did yall take such a trip after MD? how did it turn out for you? someone I know swears that a 12+ hour flight was the cause for a reherniation they had & I’m wondering if that’s mechanistically possible?
Of course I’d take reclining seat/first class if it wasn’t automatically 4 figures$ but unfortunately my realistic option at the moment is a normal sitting up seat. I don’t have any kind of emergency trip upcoming but am hoping to get some traveling things done soon that I’ve been putting off being >4 mo po now.
thoughts? thanks
Has anyone done this? i asked another time about HIFEM or MMS but no response… after further research those might be too powerful to just get back started so i came upon EMS & would love to hear if this worked for anyone? wondering if it could help get back into core work w out risking injury due to the atrophy + attempting to do moves you haven’t done for a long time
thanks!
did anyone else have to use gadolinium contrast for follow up MRI? i was halfway through my “MRI W OUT CONTRAST” & they gave me the Gad… after, i looked it up & im honestly freaked tf out by what i’m reading …. if i had been given consent forms for what this material was i would have not gone through w the mri or asked about alternatives or just any kind of more prep for this
Im dealing with enough medical problems right now without adding a “toxic heavy metal” that stays forever?
I was mri with this contrast today … i didn’t consent or know of any contrast my appointment said “mri WITHOUT contrast “ now i am finding out what they halfway thru told me they had to inject and im completely freaking out … i am ALWAYS the one in a million side effect , i am extremely sensitive… i am devastated that i now have some kind of permanent heavy toxic metal in my body…? pls can someone explain wtf this is and why i wasn’t informed about this before hand and what to do i am really scared
Has anyone done treatments like HIFEM (Emsculpt) or MMS (CoolTone) after MD and if so how soon after? I’ve never done it before so I have no idea how strong the muscles contractions would be to where I could have an idea of when it’d be safe post op… These are both electro magnetic muscle stimulation devices.
I figured it’s a good way to get some core strength back with less injury risk for having some muscle atrophy at the time of restarting exercise..
Thanks for any input!
8 weeks PO, feel like I still can’t or shouldn’t lunge or bend my front knee at a right angle?
I’ve tried kneeling and putting one leg out front bent but it stretches hard, through my back, so I stopped. Anyone have any advice on when they returned to this movement and *safely*? I don’t get my first PT for another couple weeks but I’m having trouble waiting to at least try…
I have an MRI next week to check if I re herniated bc of excruciating new pain and nerve symptoms return at 8 weeks. I can’t even stand the waiting for the MRI and just looking for any cases that had a positive outcome even when it seemed to you like you re herniated?
~2 mo PO and feeling pretty convinced the extreme nerve symptoms & horrible pain in my back that has returned is a re herniation. MRI next week to check thankfully. Have had many up downs and flares so far but this worst one yet is because I stupidly started testing if i could arch my back after keeping it very straight for basically 8 weeks. I was told arching wasn’t bad but realized it was the same hip roll to arch positioning of when I felt the pop in my back with the original herniation. Just really hope i just didn’t do this to myself again bc i just couldn’t wait long enough to test movement
(dancer, btw)
I don’t think it was an extreme arch i did but who knows now
feeling the numbness, circulation cut off feelings plus actual severe back pain & other scary sensations
anyone else ever really convinced they re herniated & it wasn’t? or it was?
i live in an apartment with one of those big trash can cube things for your garbage
i’ve been getting assistance w my trash for all these weeks but wasn’t able to get help the other day and had to lift the heavy lid… surely someone else can comment on this activity and lives in an apartment w this kind of garbage? i have no idea how heavy those are but it felt pretty heavy
i lifted it w both hands and then turned w my feet to grab what was probably 6 lb of garbage and used my other hand to get it in the big trash
i feel so stupid bc i know this was way above the 10 lb i am supposed to do for 12 weeks and my leg has been really bad numb since then now … im devastated thinking i just re herniated after 6 horrible weeks of restrictions omg 😖
any input or experiences really appreciated
thank you
i had a consult about a potential upper bleph or laser if the case was mild enough, i was recommended the Sciton Erbium laser treatment to tighten upper lids
has anyone done this & was there any bad side effects? i’m thinking how Morpheus 8 dissolves facial fat which i def wouldn’t want to dissolve my eyelid fat unknowingly! (i’ve already lost some from some years of using lash serum w prostaglandins)
if you did the procedure was it worth it to you? i am hoping for even a minor degree of improvement but want to make sure there’s no bad side effects before giving it a try
thanks for any input! :)
