After spending a few years using the Ledger Nano X (my first hardware wallet), I finally received my new Trezor 7 (Bitcoin Only).

I decided to keep my old Ledger in use for the small amounts I have in altcoins and some DeFi transactions, with the sole goal of earning a little extra (no matter how small) and then exchanging it for Bitcoin, which will now be stored on my Trezor.

The experience couldn’t have been better. Physically, the device is incredibly beautiful and sturdy. I’d say the same about the leather case I bought with it.

The user experience has been fantastic compared to the Nano X, thanks to the large, colorful screen with great resolution (not to mention the haptic feedback).

I also have to praise the Trezor Suite experience. I thought I’d be disappointed here, since the app seems much simpler than Ledger’s, but I actually liked it better because the interface is clean and distraction-free. For anyone who wants to focus on accumulating Bitcoin for the long term, I feel this is the ideal choice. So I’ll leave Ledger for all my DeFi experiments while Trezor takes care of my most important assets.

As part of EU regulations, whenever I send crypto from a KYC-compliant exchange to a hardware wallet, I have to specify whether the recipient is me, someone else, or a self-custodial wallet.

How do you guys handle this? I’m tempted to lie, but I’m worried about the risk of running into problems later.

A “segurança por obscuridade” nunca foi bem vista como suficiente. No entanto, fico pensando se hoje em dia ter o código protegido de alguém que pode usar a IA para encontrar falhas em benefício próprio não pode ser considerado uma camada extra de segurança.

Depois de alguns anos fora do Spotify acabei de voltar por algumas questões relacionadas a custo e também devido a disponibilidade do Lossless (finalmente).

Resolvi iniciar com uma conta nova e removi uma conta antiga que eu tinha que já estava com o algoritmo poluído de outra fase da minha vida.

Eu lembro que antigamente o Spotify tinha um problema muito chato em que depois de um tempo o algoritmo passava a repetir muitas das músicas da biblioteca nas playlists sugeridas. Ou seja, chegava um ponto que ficava cansativo e a descoberta de novas músicas ficava comprometida. Então queria saber duas coisas de quem usa:

Esse tema das playlists repetirem músicas ainda acontece muito? E segundo sobre os álbuns. Na minha conta antiga eu não ouvia álbuns. E o Spotify recomendava muito poucos álbuns. Isso também continua? Pois hoje gosto muito de descobrir álbuns e o Spotify sempre foi muito fraco nisso.

Do you use something other than iCloud? I was planing to use something else. iCloud is very bad for sharing file links and the sync isn’t that good compared to Dropbox for example.

Is there still any hope?
