I have the option to add detours while ALREADY on pilgrimage but there doesn’t seem to be way to confirm/save. Just not possible? PS5

I have the option to add detours while ALREADY on pilgrimage but there doesn’t seem to be way to confirm/save. Just not possible? PS5

So you can go into the travel screen and customize route, and there seems to be a mechanic for this, but either I don’t know how or it’s just not possible, puzzlingly… you can click on “customize route”, places you have already been are greyed out, and places you haven’t been to yet you can add detours. You can also remove detours but there seems no way to confirm the changes.

Never seen this before, what is going on? Teenage son doesn’t respect me. Heir AND my ward, but now he’s at some foreign dude’s court and won’t come home.

There was one one old Reddit post I could find talking about this, but info didn’t seem relevant to what is happening here. Google’s Gemini response mentioned he is either betrothed or “actively trying to elope” I don’t know what actively trying to elope means in the context of the game lol.

I don’t know what other relevant info to include: heir likes me, there was no pop-up/event that happened related to this.

Earlier I did make him the ward of some OTHER guy, a vassal of mine in order to change his culture. But after that happened I brought him back as my ward. Then I randomly noticed he’s now in some foreign court and doesn’t respect my authority.
