Do public high school friendships last?

I haven't kept in touch with many of my HS friends. They ended pretty much as soon as I left the school. I message them maybe once a month. And even then I think at least one of the friendships is completely dead.

On the train I met a classmate, and he told me that he doesn't really keep in contact with his former friends. He also told me many of the friendships in his friend group have ended

At uni I know some private school kids, and they're still really good friends with their high school classmates.

My parents asking me for money feels pathetic

I could never tell them this. They do try hard, and lots of the money they borrow from me is spent helping me. But fuck me. They've borrowed money from me ~5 times the past 8 months.

They borrowed $1200 a few hours ago, to help pay their credit card. They say I'll get paid back next week. But the week before they borrowed $400, which they paid back just two days ago. They also owe me another $2200 which they'll pay back mid sepetember. They do pay me back tho

They keep blaming their tenants paying rent late, but they own 5 houses in very expensive Sydney/Melbourne suburbs. I work retail, cmon. They overleverged back when my dad used to make a lot of money, which is why they're struggling now. They say they want to keep the houses for me and my brothers, but the real reason is their own greed.

They also bought my brother a $1800 Macbook Pro, cause needs it for school, around the same time they borrowed the $2200 from me. It feels really unfair what they're doing.

My mom also gives me shit for not working more, and if I don't get enough hours at work, she scowls, and says that they want to fire me. She also complains that I don't get enough hours to bail them out.

My mom pisses me off quite a bit. She's only worked one job her entire life and I think that was only for 3 months. She also got her uni + rent paid for by her parents. But when I express even a little concern, I'm selfish.

My dad's kinda alright. He doesn't make that much. Or even work that hard really. He's kinda soft retired. Which would be respectable if he didn't borrow this much money from me.

Overall my grandparents did a lot for my parents, and I feel that my parents aren't really doing their end of the deal. Their financial problems shouldn't affect me. But helping them wiht their bills is cheaper than rent/food ngl

Where can I meet some girls my age?

I'm 20 years old, and I wanna meet some girls aged 19-21 during my uni break.

Unfortunately I don't have any friends at the moment, so I can't really use their social groups. I found some societies/events I can join at my uni BUT they're only active during uni, I need something for the break.

I found a few casual dancing events(not dance classes), but I think the girls may be a bit too old for me there. I'm not comfortable cold approaching, so bars and clubs are out. I also can't stay in the city past 10, cause I live in the suburbs, and I need to bus home.

Any suggestions?

I asked out my coworker

This is my first time asking out a girl. It could have gone a lot more awkwardly. Here's what happened.

I asked her out at 11:33 AM Australia time. Right now is 3:28. She has my number, I don't have hers.

Anyway I asked "Hey GIRLNAME are seeing anyone". She said: "No why". I asked: "Can I take you out for coffee". She said: "I don't know, I'll have to think about it". She was smiling while I asked her. I then went for my break

We didn't talk about anything personal that entire day. Tho we do work customer service, and it was pretty busy. At the end of my shift, she took over my work, said thanks to me for coming on short notice, but didn't mention the date.

I think I got rejected.
