Library, RM building are too cold and my roommate won't let me turn off the fan. The fan also is fixed on its highest speed. The weather has become a little colder and I don't like being under a full speed fan (Don't taunt me about how I'll live in winter I have lived in such harsh winters before too and it's different when its cold enough to wear multiple layers)

how to join this club? I didn't catch the whatsapp qr in orientation and they're not replying on insta. Can PG students even join this club? Can people join like normal members that do arts and crafts but not as secretary or smtg of that sort?

me and my friend want to meet and visit some tourism pla on some long weekend and we live in the places mentioned in title. We live 24 hours apart rn. If there are any places in btw so that we can each travel for approximately 12 hours (any overnight journey would do), it would be convinient without spending money on flights

Today I caught myself in the thought "I always say I want to do research. But can I really do it? I mean I always 'want' to study things indepth. But did I ever do it? If not can I do it if I start now? do I have the capacity?"

For a little back story I have an opportunity to either select M.Tech or MS by research programme at a reputed institute in my country. I am deciding which one I should chose. MTech would be a lot of coursework and MS is highly research oriented. I have always wanted to do research and do something indepth. But even though I went to one of the other top institutes of my country, I didn't do a lot. I was lacking a lot of discipline, courage and focus.

When I started preparing for Masters, it was a decision to be more disciplined and consistent and on top of my own things. It was also kindof a realisation that anything just needs some hardwork to be achieved

just before this I pulled off something that felt impossible and scary before. The catch was that all those things "I achieved" are also luck. It felt like if it was not for luck, I would be pretty average..

So this all is making me question... can I succeed in doing research and generating some tangible product if I'm not much talented to say but tried to stay consistent, disciplined and kept on improving my execution skills?

same as title. None of the available trains or flights will let me arrive in time on 23rd. I don't want to stay in a hotel without knowing the city. Will they let me crash for a night?

So I was always interested to do research even though I dont have much clarity what to do and which field to focus on (although I have broader interests). But I knew given time in MS Research or MTech, I can figure out specific problems I want to work on. I hoped I could do masters in India and go abroad for PhD. So I quit my job and started gate prep 8 months ago.
But I messed up all the ms interviews and applied to only top clgs for MTech (cse 99.45 percentile)

Now I'm left with zero offers. I dont know what to do. I still dont want to go for jobs again. I want to start building research profile now. What options do I have left? How can I start individually and reach to the level of cold mailing. If anyone did this, please help.

weird because RAP's cutoff is lower. Is there any limit to how many courses one can get shortlisted for? I wanted RAP :)
