Questions on 2026 Hybrid Tuscon AC

It is getting up to 95-100 in my neck of the woods and this is my first summer with the car.

It seems at times when driving in the default ECO the AC is not very cold or it becomes cold after a significant amount of driving. Also I notice that the fan speed goes up and down without me touching it. Putting the AC in recirculation mode seems to make things get colder quite quickly. I’m aware that the AC runs off the battery and not the engine in the Hybrid Tuscon so perhaps that affects it.

In the owners manual, it states that the AC may not work at full capacity in ECO mode.
Should I be driving in another mode in the summer? Any tips or tricks you could pass on would be appreciated.
Thanks

How are texts, calls, 911 calls prioritized?

I think this could be helpful for those thinking of moving to pre-paid so I’m asking.

If someone with Mint(for example) is trying to make a call or text at a concert is it possible they may not go through? Would a 911 call go through?

In my mind texts and calls should always go through as they use so little data compared to TikTok, YouTube, etc but what do I know.

When does Visible renew each month?

Does it renew each month on the date you purchase the new plan? For example if you buy the plan on July 8 will it renew on August 8?

This Straight Talk deal looks pretty good when you factor in Walmart + membership and Paramount+

What do you think?

2026 Hybrid

I noticed these wires hanging down from underneath the dash soon after I bought the car. This isn’t normal is it? It doesn’t appear there is a bracket up under the dash to hang the wires on. The twist ties and zip ties look horrible.
Anyone else have this problem?

Weber County School District freezing raises due to a decline in enrollment.

Weber County School District will have 777 less students this coming fall than last year. Based on the funding formula per student that the state gives each district, total funds will go up about $2 million but that will only cover the increase in health insurance costs for employees. It’s very discouraging. The last time this happened was in 2008…

You may be asking yourself “How can there be a decrease in students with all the new homes being built in the county?”. I asked myself the same thing. Overall there are increasing numbers of children in the county but a lot are doing home schooling or charter schools. The fact that people are having less children or no children at all definitely factors into this as well.

Thought this was interesting and wanted to pass it on.

We have some nurses working 6 or 7 shifts in a row. By the 6-7 day they are exhausted and you can tell that they are not grasping everything they should.

I’m curious if any hospitals will not allow employees to work so many shifts in a row?
