Which is better to develop a friendslop vs Single Player Story Game?

Do you think it would be better to make a “friendslop” game designed mainly around fun, chaotic multiplayer gameplay with friends, rather than creating a single-player game focused heavily on a deep storyline and narrative? A friendslop game could potentially be easier and faster to develop, especially for a small indie team, while also being more replayable because players can create their own funny moments and experiences together. It could also have a greater chance of spreading through Twitch, YouTube, and social media if the gameplay produces unexpected or hilarious situations. On the other hand, a single-player storyline game gives much more creative freedom when it comes to storytelling, emotional moments, world-building, characters, and delivering a memorable experience. The main question is whether the goal should be to create something that is primarily fun and replayable with friends, or something more cinematic, meaningful, and story-driven that players experience alone. Which direction would be smarter for a small indie developer?

An indie game about 4 guards guarding a museum but the exhibits turn alive is it a good idea?

I am thinking of making this multiplayer game where the players are museum guards and they have a night duty and it is their first day , their main mission is to keep all the exhibits safe from eachother and themselves

They turn alive when nobody is looking at them and freeze when you look at them

You have to keep them contained till morning and tidy up the place before the manager arrives

There are different exhibits like a T-Rex skeleton , then Egyptian mummy and many more

The game is basically low poly with some funny elements and overall a friendship game

You can revive your teammates by bringing their body to the shaman exhibit

I was thinking something like if the Trex is on the move and you look at it , he just stops at the exact spot and starts to whistle like he did nothing

The mummy could crawl into the vent and jumpscare the players

What do you guys think about it?

And if you have any suggestions do let me know and advice from other developers is always appreciated

Thankyou
