Lost my lums law offer because of A Level conditions is ucl oul exchange LLB a good option?

I just lost my admission to LUMS SAHSOL Law School because I didn’t meet my A Level condition, and honestly I’m pretty devastated. I still really want to pursue law, so I’m looking at doing a University of London (UoL) LLB through an external programme instead.

Do you think UoL is a good option for someone who wants to build a strong legal career? I already have some relevant experience I’m currently working at a firm in legal marketing and I’m planning to build up internships, research and other legal experience during my degree.

If I do really well in my LLB and then apply for a Master’s/LLM in the UK or US, is it realistic to build a good career in corporate/commercial law?

I’d especially appreciate advice from UoL graduates or lawyers. Can someone genuinely excel from this route, or would losing LUMS put me at a major disadvantage and i should try for it again?

I’m trying to figure out whether this is a setback or if I can still make something really good out of it.

Lost my LUMS condition- is UoL LLB a good alternative?

I recently lost my LUMS admission condition and I'm considering doing the University of London external LLB instead. I want to pursue law, ideally corporate law, and eventually do a Master's/LLM in the UK or US.

For UoL graduates/lawyers:

  • Is UoL LLB a good option for building a successful legal career?
  • Any major success stories?
  • Can I still get into good UK/US universities for a Master's with strong grades and internships?
  • Can I realistically excel in my career despite not going to my dream uni

Would really appreciate some honest advice because I'm pretty devastated about losing my condition

Should I take a gap year to reapply to LUMS, or move on?

I’m looking for some honest advice from people who have been in a similar situation.

LUMS was my top choice as I want to stay in lahore pak but I couldn’t meet the A Level grade condition. My academic profile otherwise feels quite strong I have a very good SAT score and strong o lvel grades but my A lvel results were unfortunately much worse than I expected.

Now I’m stuck between two choices either spending another year improving my A level grades and applying to LUMS again (i really hope they allow spring intakes) or accepting my results and moving forward with another university.

Part of me feels like I’d regret not trying one more time for the university I genuinely wanted. At the same time, I’m worried about taking an entire year just to fix my academic record and whether it’s actually worth it.

Would you consider a gap year to improve grades and reapply if LUMS was genuinely your first choice? Or is it better to accept the results and move on???

I’d especially appreciate advice from LUMS students/alumni or anyone who has taken a gap year to reapply.

Is anyone else freaking out about A Level Business thresholds?

Am I the only one who's really worried about A Level Business resultss

Cambridge never acknowledged or accepted the leaks, even though there were massive leaks for both Business Paper 1 and Paper 2. A lot of students had access to them, and if that's true, it's likely going to push marks up and potentially skyrocket the grade thresholds.

It just feels really unfair for those of us who sat the papers honestly. I can't stop thinking about how much this could affect the thresholds OMGGGG

Advice required for acne and comedones

I never had acne prone skin, but for some reason, I started getting pimples 6 months ago on my forehead and specific areas on the cheek. Now I'm breaking out really bad, and I have bumps and comedones all around my face. Secondly, I also have dry skin, so I have dry patches in a few areas as well, along with flaky skin on the nose. I'm not aware of the cause of this. But is it temporary acne? And how to fix it. I also started iron tablets (iberet folic 500), so maybe because of it. Please recommend products that helped you get rid of acne.
