New grad RN struggling to get hired because of a past DWI — anyone been through this??

4 years ago I was convicted for a DWI in Texas. This happened before I started nursing school. I’ve been granted my RN license and did all the necessary requirements with the BON in order to get licensed but the problem I’m having now is getting hired on as a nurse. I’ve had two jobs withdraw their offer and I’m getting super discouraged. Any advice?

Passed NCLEX @85 questions

I passed my NCLEX at 85 questions and I just wanted to share what helped me.

I had sooooo much f***ing anxiety the week prior to the exam. My heart was racing..I was doom scrolling on tik tok watching everything about NCLEX and people failing… I was on Reddit looking at convos about how people did well on archer/uworld/bootcamp and still failed.

Well. I utilized archer and I liked it a lot. To be honest, I think any platform is great. What matters is how you dissect the questions. Yes the NCLEX was vague. Very simple questions. But they were not complicated so do not over complicate it. I watched Dr. Sharon on YouTube and she helps you break down the questions and guides your thinking on how you should be reading each question and how to break down the answer choices. Watch her!!! She’s apart of mark klimek group. I also listened to mark k lecture 12. I recommend that as well. I think it’s important to know the foundations of nursing. Know the basics. You definitely need a broad understanding of disease processes, especially the ones that are most common. Do not go into your exam with unbearable anxiety. I bought incense, lit them and spoke my affirmations and manifestations outside a few hours before my exam. When you say it , believe it. YOU WILL PASS THE NCLEX!! I have a few resources i can share if anyone is interested. You got this!
