Is this internalised racism?

Hey so I’m a 50/50 biracial and I looked mixed to most people however some people would consider me black passing. Whenever someone assumes that I am just black I get offended because that’s not what I am and I don’t like when people just assume things. I’m just wondering if this is internalised racism as I don’t have any self hate towards myself I just don’t like when people assume. It would seem weird for me to not correct them because at the end of the day I’m not mono racially black.

Should I pursue dentistry?

Hey so I am just looking for some advice regarding my career. I am based in the UK and growing up I have always had a passion for animals which is why i started off pursuing veterinary medicine as a career. However money later become a very important factor to me and after speaking to many vets I realised that it might not be the right career for me. I loved studying vet med however the thought of not getting paid enough for the amount of work I put in really burned my passion for it and impacted my studying.
I then started looking into dentistry which I felt neutral about, however I didn’t dislike it as it was still a medical career (I like medicine quite a lot) and decided to book a bunch of work experiences with dentists. They all talked about their career in a very different way than vets did. They also seemed to be very happy with the salary they received. I would like to be able to have a stable career that has a good salary as I realised this is very important. I understand dentistry also has its challenges and that no career is perfect. I am just looking for some advice on whether it would be wise to pursue it or not.

What can I do in this situation?

Hey there, I am not sure if this is the right community to post this so please do tell me if it is not. I am posting just because I require some help to get over my internalised racism. I am mixed (50/50) between white and black and through my childhood I have been around individuals which were discriminating to black people, as a result i also involuntarily started to think the same way as them. I do not treat any black people with disrespect as i do not want to be like this, I just find it so difficult to erase as it is hardwired in my brain. I just need help and tips to improve on this as I do not want to have this mentality and want to feel at easy when interacting with people of any kind. Let me know if you need any more information.
