Haven't seen anyone talking about this fan project that seems really interesting.

When I first played Control, I loved the the collectibles. Taking the mundane bureaucracy of memos, emails, and case reports and fleshing out the world of which the FBC takes place in that also wasn't mandatory for understanding said world, just supplementary cool material to deepen the lore. I thought was a well implemented mechanic. So much so, I ended up putting together a timeline of the entire FBC based on the case files (for anyone curious).

I was just curious as to other players thoughts on the mechanic, like if they love it, hate it, felt it could be better, if it did its job of fleshing out a deeper world, etc?

I was looking into the anime Serial Experiments Lain and came across that the show episodes are called layers but when I ran into the show i noticed that theres two versions or something? theres the original 13 episodes that are about 23 minutes long but i also found a version called layers that are only 20 minutes long. Just curious if anyone knows the distinction between the two.

Serial Experiments Lain seems to come up a lot in cyberpunk media.
