Hello folks ! Jay Jagannath!

So the matter is I'm a banker who is currently posted in Calcutta. This year I'm getting transferred to Odisha and I'll be working in Odisha for the first time in my career. As such I'm unaware of much about the towns of Odisha since I've spent almost a decade outside of Odisha.

My hometown is Bhubaneswar but it will be very difficult to get posted there as demand for Bhubaneswar is very high. (and politics as well !)

So kindly suggest some other towns apart from Bhubaneswar which will be good for getting posted to for a period of at least 3 years. Give suggestions in terms of people, culture, food, transportation options and good connectivity.

Places I will be avoiding will be Bhadrak and Berhampur at least as opinions among the banking community are very negative about these towns.

Give opinions about towns in Western Odisha like Rourkela, Sambalpur or Jharsuguda. In fact some seniors have actually suggested that I go to Sambalpur as it will be better to work compared to the Eastern belt. Also how is Cuttack as a town for an employee. Are the people good and friendly or will i face hostile behaviour?!!

Kindly give your valuable suggestions.
