one of our profs po kasi was asking me kung may class list daw ba ako. I unconsciously said yes. is class list and masterlist the same? 😭 kasi I’m currently making a sheet for our block na nandoon na yung no. per students (nakahiwalay ang gender).

kinakabahan po kasi ako na umattend sa first day fight sa august 18. I heard na parang may rally daw or something. tbh ako lang po kasi magisa wala po akong kasama na friend or anything. so I’m basically all alone 😭 what to expect po? kakayanin ko po ba magisa? may mga events po ba? stalls? or like something po na mangyayari pa? can I also like roam around the university and the buildings? (I’m planning to explore the university din magisa - especially yung COC Building)

I’m currently a freshman. I was assigned today and voted as majority sa block namin to become the block representative. I was wondering lang kung gaano ba ka stressful at hassle ang pagiging class rep? kailangan ko lang paghandaan sarili ko. 😭 since I’m planning to juggle content creation and side hustles while maintaining my position and studying all at the same time. plus I’m part of an org pa owemji (mas nauna ang org ko before anything though)

I would like to learn Latin once I graduate here at PUP huhu. plus maintain my grades, hoping to be a dean's or president's lister in the first year. 😓

my mom is an OFW and my father is a retired policeman. I wan't to show them that even if they don't agree with my program (they wanted me to pursue a program related to med. it was supposed to be bs psych, but I changed my mind because). Because they are against my PUP and my program. despite that, I don't want to show them otherwise. I don't want to prove them wrong.

I was able to maintain my "high honors" during shs. now I’m currently having a crisis if I can do it.

I was stalking my blockmates in our gc. I was so shocked that they were literally an experienced artists unlike me huhu na puro self-taught lang. additionally they’re literally so smart. saw a bunch of their posts that they graduated from shs with a bunch of awards and all. I was only able to maintain my ‘with high honors’ but I didn’t join any competition because I was swallowed by fear.. 😭 I hope I don’t get consumed by self pity and inferiority complex ngayong college. 🫩

I just want to maintain my grades. I don’t want to think about them anymore huhu. any seniors here who have graduated? or any sophomore seniors here who have managed to maintain in being a dean’s lister or president’s lister? how did you do it and manage it? 🥹🙏🏻

I’m also hoping to get any money advice or tips from anyone here! as a magastos na tao huhu. we’re struggling financially, and 200 a day ang baon ko. sa malayong state uni kasi ako mag aaral. around 2 hours ang byahe. 2 hanggang 3 beses ako sasakay ng transpo para makarating sa uni (PUP).

hi, I’m F17 and a humss graduate! I’m thinking about pursuing bsba-mm or bapr. at the same time, I’m planning to do side hustles / gigs at the side to earn money since gipit kami sa money ngayon.

hello, I’m currently having a crisis right now. malapit na yung enrollment date ko, and I’m having doubts whether I should choose advertising or marketing as my course. I don’t know kung ano ba talagang pipiliin ko. 🫩

so here’s the thing..

pros of me choosing advertising:

1. I have been graphic designing for almost 3-4 years now. I’m currently working as a pubmat artist in a youth organization.
2. I can also do basic video editing. since I have been doing this frequently when I was in shs. (I was always the one tasked to do the video editing).
3. I can also do basic writing, like creative stuff. (but I’m not that confident. unlike graphic designing and video editing).

cons if I choose advertising:

1. I suck at drawing and painting — whether digital or traditional. I can draw though, but like on a beginner level. (I can’t draw a face nor a body).
2. I haven’t explored doing videography or photography yet. (I do have a digicam. just haven’t have the heart to do it yet).
3. I’m not that confident when it comes to filming things. since advertising ‘to it will definitely have a project involving making an advertisement.

pros if I choose marketing:

1. I have always been curious on how marketing and the business industry works. I want to have a business someday.
2. after I graduated, I’m going to look for a job that has something to do with marketing related stuff. like working on brands, companies, or social media.
3. I’m pretty much creative. this might come handy.

cons if I choose marketing:

1. I graduated as a humss student in shs, not an abm student. I am so far behind.
2. I have literally no idea about marketing. I’m not sure what kind of skill that I can offer while pursuing this path.
3. I would probably miss doing creative stuff.

any seniors here? I need insights! 🥹🙏🏻 it will be helpful if I can also know on what both marketing and advertising students do everyday. like classes and how hard is it for a non-abm student to choose marketing, and on a semi-creative person to choose advertising. which program is more practical? what program should I choose for a more flexible schedule, as a person that will do freelancing?
