London Taxis in the New Mexico

London Taxis in the New Mexico

Doug’s London Taxi video reminded me that I spent my childhood seeing a small fleet of these LTI cabs driving around Santa Fe, New Mexico painted in a bright purple livery for Hotel Santa Fe. I still see them clattering around town from time to time when I visit, and I saw a post that they were gifted a new (old) one in 2018 which is still painted black. Anyone know if these made it to any other weird corners of the US?

Edit: Sorry about “the New Mexico”, gotta check my titles before I post lol

Locked out of watch, but not paired to phone..

Not sure how I managed this, but my Apple Watch has become stuck with a forgotten passcode, unpaired from my old phone and not yet paired with my new phone. It is now passcode locked on the setup screen, does not do anything when I bring it near my phone, and won’t let me tap anything (including the information button or the power screen) without entering the passcode. This means I’m unable to do any of the usual steps to reset. Any ideas?

Hey folks, I got my first electric a few months ago and I’m struggling with keeping strings muted when working on solos, hoping for some tips.

I’m primarily a keyboardist and bassist, but I’ve been strumming basic chords on acoustic since middle school so I’m not bad with strum patterns, bar chords, etc.

A few months back I got a lovely Squier Paranormal Tele Deluxe, and I’ve since purchased a Vox VT50 amp for her. My big problem is that I have big fat Billy Joel style pianist sausage-fingers, and I’m having a lot of trouble keeping strings muted while working on anything solo-ish. If I do a bend, no matter how hard I try to isolate the strings I’m working on, I tend to pull off the string below. If I do a solo riff, by the end of it all the surrounding strings are ringing like singing bowls. If I try palm muting I end up muting the strings I’m playing. Can anyone give pointers or point me in the direction of some good training to prevent this??
