BSc maths/physics from BHU

I am planning to pursue a BSc in Mathematics or Physics from BHU through CUET UG. I have just completed my CBSE Class 12 exams. Could you please confirm if this is a good path and what future options are available after this course?

i have seen the war between the cbse and icse subs and i thought to put some reality to all

the 60 percent icse equals 90 percent cbse claim is mostly exaggeration. icse does tend to be tougher to score high marks in due to its subjective style of papers especially in english and social studies but there is no fixed conversion formula involved. the two boards simply follow different marking approaches and direct comparison does not hold much value

when it comes to syllabus icse covers a wider range of topics and requires students to handle seven or eight compulsory subjects. it places strong emphasis on detailed english literature and language with papers that demand well structured and elaborate answers. cbse on the other hand keeps things more focused with five main subjects and draws most questions straight from ncert textbooks. this makes scoring 90 plus quite achievable if you master the core books. the marking scheme in cbse is also more supportive with stepwise credit given even if the final answer has some error

what stands out about cbse is its wide reach beyond just india. it has over 33000 affiliated schools in total with more than 27000 in india and 240 schools operating in 28 foreign countries including uae saudi arabia nepal qatar singapore russia and japan. this gives cbse a true global footprint serving indian families wherever they are posted. in contrast the cisce board which runs icse has only around 2100 to 3100 affiliated schools in total and most of them remain concentrated in major indian cities

cbse also runs a well established sports programme that organises competitions at cluster zonal and national levels every year across 24 different sports such as athletics badminton basketball football swimming chess judo and yoga. these events are held regularly with winners often getting opportunities to compete at khelo india or national school games level. the scale here is much larger compared to what cisce offers through its own sports initiatives

before the covid period cbse had been actively involved in supporting national level competitive examinations and talent identification programmes. a good example is the national talent search examination ntse conducted by ncert where the syllabus aligns directly with cbse making it easier for our students to perform well. cbse has also maintained strong teacher training initiatives through its centres of excellence and online training portal. teachers across affiliated schools can regularly join capacity building programmes workshops and professional development sessions with certificates awarded on completion. this kind of structured support for teachers is not matched at the same scale by the other board

in the end even for class 10 icse works well only if the plan is to study abroad later due to its international recognition and focus on english. for most students staying within india whether for jee neet cuet state admissions or overall accessibility cbse remains the more practical and effective choice at every stage. different boards serve different purposes but the numbers and structure clearly favour cbse when the goal is to succeed in the indian education system

IG devs are adding more and more unnecessary features.

Say Leo AI — it’s great, but it still doesn’t render proper math eqns or summarize YT videos, etc., which Gemini in Chrome does!

Also, I have noticed that it intentionally slows down and tries to hide download btns on popular browser pages, like on Vivaldi’s download page.

Also, I feel the UI has gotten cluttered around features.

For this UI case, even Edge and Chrome sometimes feel more relaxed!
