I am currently wokring in an IT job 6-8LPA range and want to pursue mba from top B schools but my parents keep insisting me(mostly when they see my sometime work on weekends and night)to write govt exams especially ssc cgl and in their opinion private jobs at the end of the day are not stable and worthy....but I think the salary and benifits in govt jobs are not that impressive honestly especially B grade jobs.

Could someone guide me in this aspect by sharing their perspective what colleges can i realistically crack with this profile
