How's this Portico Teacher: Stephen Mendelson?
How is Stephen Mendelson as a portico teacher? I heard another portico teacher gives their class a quiz on the first day.

So I know classes start on Aug 31, but I have to go back home the first weekend because a relative of mine is coming to the US for the first time so we are going to have a family gathering and since it’s Labor Day week I will be missing the first weekend of college. I’m worried that that’s going to impact my social life so does anyone have any advice.
Also what were the important dates for the events such as the club fair event? I hope I’m not missing any event during Labor Day weekend.
I was wondering when I should apply for campus jobs since I know my course schedule is going to change as I want to swap a class out so I won’t know my exact schedule until then.
Also what are the best campus jobs and how do you guys manage campus jobs along with classes and clubs.
And how does work study work? Is the maximum that you can make each semester $1,500?
I just tried to swap my courses, but the portal doesn't let me. It says it's not my registration time or something. What do I do?? Today is the last day to adjust your schedule, then you have to wait until last August.
Please rate my teachers and tell me anything you know about them/your experience:
Wesner, Thomas L for Law I
Beebe, Jonathan R for Excel (btw can anyone tell me what you really do in this course since it's asynchronous)
Kaplan-Maxfield, Thomas for Literature core
Mo, Yajun for Asia in World II (can anyone tell me what are the best/easy teachers for HIST I and II)
Mendelsohn, Stephen for Portico
Meyer, Amy for Intro to Theatre
I’m looking for a fruit picking farm place near NYC, by that I mean like no more than 2 hour drive. I’m looking for one that charges by bag not by pound and there’s like a variety of fruits you can pick not just like 1 type of fruit if possible.
Hi, I was wondering if I should get an iPad for note-taking. I have a laptop already, so I was wondering if that is a worthwhile investment.

I'm looking through the BC forms I need to fill out, and there's something about insurance. Looking through it, it seems students need to pay around 4k a year for health insurance, and that applies to me as my insurance only applies to the state I'm living in. My question is whether that cost was factored into my tuition or not and if I will get some of that cost slashed since I'm low-income.
