Do players ever get moved positionally from offense to defense?

In baseball and even football, I feel like it's not uncommon to see guys that played one position most of their lives get shuffled somewhere else to keep them in the lineup. I was just curious with all the talk I've seen of Eklund and Graf as potential trade bait, would it be out of this world to just move them to the D position since they are fairly defensively capable players in order to keep them in our locker room and fill a need at the same time?

I know this is probably a rediculous question and the answer is likely no, but I just figured I'd ask. I've seen so many of the same threads started over who we should draft and who we should trade, but I never saw this idea brought up at all (probably because it's futile), but I figured I'd ask if any of you know anyone successfully changed into a different position like that?

At the end of the day I believe in our organization to make the best decision moving forward. I would hate to part with Ecky or Graf though. Something tells me they would be better at the D position than Klingburg or Leddy lol

Hello everyone.

Some people in the area are familiar with Signs By Van. We have built a reputation for creating truly unique, one of a kind dimensional signage. In the past year we have created a partnership with the Yokut Indian Tribe who reside along the Tule River. They had a downed Old Growth Redwood tree and reached out to us to do some signage for them using that tree. They were so happy with the end result that they have agreed to source out their fallen trees to us going forward. Signs by Van has recently created a sister company called Old Growth Lumber Co that now shares our facility. We now own the 5th largest mill in the state and are offering all sorts of services. Anyone interested in 1700 - 2500 year old Old Growth Sequoia Slabs, as well as black oak, sugar pine, 2nd growth and a small selection of walnut should absolutely swing by our facility (located at 16130 Hwy 156 in prunedale/Salinas). We offer slabs, milling, flattening, kiln drying services as well as some truly unique custom epoxy furniture. If you have a one of a kind project on the horizon, I would certainly invite you to come tour the facility and talk to our knowledgeable staff and see if we can't create something special out of this unique wood that you won't be able to find anywhere else. Swipe through these photos to see an example of some of our very first tables that we have made. We love working with those in our community and look forward to more cool projects in our near future. Visit www.oldgrowthlumberco.com or call Signs By Van to schedule a visit with us today. While you are at it check out our Instagram for fun progress videos to keep up with our works.
