As you can see here, Naoya uses a BV to reduce the damage he takes from accelerating to mach 3. Naoya is also capable of tanking multiple SSK hits from daido, so his durability is great. (As well as a PB capable of harming Hanami through her shell, and thats assuming Kamo hasnt gotten ANY stronger during shibuya.) This means Curseya cannot tank even Mach 3 of air resistance, and that he needs a binding vow to do so. This also means that you still take full damage from your technique's recoil, since I don't think a nerfed mach 3 recoil is gonna hurt curseya who is more durable than normal naoya who survived an Awakened Maki punch.

Dabura on the other hand, doesn't have a binding vow to tank some sub-LS kicks. Even if "sub light speed" means 0.1% of LS, that's still several thousands of times more recoil than Curseya is suffering here. Also, we know that Dabura doesn't know about binding vows from Maru being confused at what binding vows are, since the Deskunte and the Simurians are closely tied together due to living on nearby planets. Cross here doesn't know about BVs since he phrases his response as a question, meaning he doesnt know the answer. This means that Dabura's dura is = to the damage taken by LS kick, as air resistance recoil isnt nerfed by ur own technique.
