Road rage and assault justified ?
Need advice on what’s legal here / whether this could be considered self defense.
This happened during Baltimore rush hour traffic. I was driving and admittedly cut someone off by accident in heavy traffic. The other driver got extremely aggressive, sped around me, and intentionally rammed into my car. We both pulled over after. I am driving a Benz suv he was in Toyota truck.
I approached his car to get his insurance/info after the crash, but as soon as he got out he immediately got in my face yelling. Our noses were basically touching. I pushed him back to create space, but then he immediately came back toward me and got even closer again like he wanted to fight, so I punched him on the side of the head kinda hard. My passenger said he heard the noise. Medical did come later no one reported injuries. I was worried he might die.
After the punch my passenger grabbed him in a bear hug and held his arms against the hood of the car because he was still trying to get back to me and swinging around. He didn’t want me to get punched. During that struggle I put my thumb near/in his eye area trying to get him off my passenger.
Legally, how is something like this usually viewed in Maryland? And at what point does defending yourself become assault? He also said he had a dash cam to the

Leaking?
Newly bought used BMW X3 from Porsche dealer already leaking + mildew smell. Worth fighting to return?
Bought a used BMW X3 recently from Porsche Tysons Corner and within a couple weeks I started noticing a weird funky/mildew smell every time I get into the car, especially after rain or sitting overnight. At first I thought maybe it was nothing, but then I found wet headliner material near the front visor area, damp carpet/floor, and moisture inside the cabin. I’ve also had occasional screen glitches while driving which now makes me worried moisture may have gotten into electronics somewhere.
The dealer originally checked it and told me they couldn’t find a leak and basically implied maybe it was from windows being left down, but after I brought more photos/videos they took the car back again and now say they’re bringing in a specialist to trace the issue.
I’m concerned because I know water intrusion can become a nightmare long term:
mold/mildew smell
soaked carpet padding
electrical corrosion/issues later
recurring leaks
permanent odor even after repair
The car was sold as-is, but this feels like something that may have already existed before I bought it. The mildew smell is noticeable every single time I enter the vehicle and honestly kills the excitement of buying the car.
For anyone who has dealt with BMW X3/X5/X7 leaks, pano roof leaks, drain issues, windshield leaks, etc:
Did the smell ever fully go away?
Once these cars leak, are they ever truly the same again?
Did the dealer actually fix it permanently?
Would you fight for a return/trade-out while it’s still newly purchased or just let them repair it?
Trying to figure out whether I should trust the repair process or push harder now before I’m stuck with long-term problems.
