Just noticed on my 8 prong 2ct OEC (fan favorite) that the prongs are coming loose. I’ve only worn mine a handful of times for a few hours, never in water. Taking to a local jeweler soon!
I bought a Bluetooth freezer alarm that can connect to my phone and turned on all alerts. I can check the status and temperature of the freezer any time. Here’s the one I got off Amazon, there’s a lot of other options.

I’m trying to better understand the VA benefits system for my parents who live in a different state and have no other family but myself. I am freshly postpartum with a newborn and unable to drop everything and fly to help out in the short term. I’m very sleep deprived so sorry if this is wordy.
My dad has a long history of medical issues. He was in a wheelchair, has Parkinson’s and dementia. On top of these, he had a stroke three weeks ago and is currently receiving care in a VA facility, I’m concerned that he isn’t getting the level of medical care he needs. He cannot speak, he cannot move by himself, he’s completely dependent on staff or my mom.
He’s been reporting severe neck pain (8/10), and four days ago my mom noticed something protruding from his neck internally (she sent me photos), she thinks it could be his shunt but the nurses have just been giving him muscle relaxers. He has a third party primary care physician that is currently out of state. No one has escalated his neck issue and I’m scared it’s causing more issues internally.
Also, my mom is completely inept at technology and insurance processes, so she is struggling to advocate for him and understand who to contact. She said there is a case manager who helped her previously submit disability claim which was 90%. When I asked her what was denied or why it wasn’t 100% she could not tell me why and didn’t know how to pull up the decision letter. She doesn't understand why he received that rating or what steps to take next. Or it’s because it took her almost two months to submit the original claim because it was so complicated compiling his medical records. Can she resubmit because he had a stroke?

STM, almost exclusively BF first kid, thought second was going to be a breeze too. Nope. Baby developed jaundice, was so sleepy at the breast the first couple of weeks and couldn’t keep them awake no matter what we tried. Also had tongue and lip tie. Went to two IBCLCs, pediatric dentist, they all said even if we released them there was no guarantee it would improve feedings because of her sleepiness and bottles would be the best way to measure her intake.
We had two weight checks/week the first 5 weeks of their life. So I started exclusively pumping every 3 hours and developed an oversupply. Weight was finally going up but I was getting 0 sleep and couldn’t spend as much time with both my kids. Dropped to 5 pumps at 3 months, dropped MOTN pump at 4 months PP which helped. Then two people in our family went into hospice care and we had to fly short notice, I had to pump and dump. With the way things are going and my deep freezer full of my oversupply it’s time for me to stop.
