Low BP

Anyone having a hard time keeping their BP up after being on Reta and losing weight? I know GLPs are supposed to help with BP but I started from a very low place, so the combo is not ideal for me. Yes, I have talked to my doctor. They are not alarmed but I would like to figure out a sweet spot for using the drug.

Surgery in Scottsdale

Anyone had surgery from The Lipedema Institute in Scottsdale. I live on the central coast of CA and the closest surgeons are in Beverly Hills and have that price tag. I dont need that as surgeons out of the area are often half the cost. I may or may not be able to use my insurance. I am willing to fly somewhere if reasonable.

Titrating off reta

Has anyone had any good luck getting off (or down 2-3mg) reta somewhat fast? I am not at my weight loss goal but the low systolic blood pressure from the meds is wreaking havoc with a few health things here and there. I am on 5 now. I am considering getting down to 2mg and adding in Tirzepitide. All still tbd.

Reta - too powerful for me

I am on 4 mg of reta after being on both Semeglitude and Tirzepitide over the past two years. I have had some side effects I am not really willing to put up with anymore. Mostly low blood pressure, a lot of gas and fatigue. I am about 15 lbs away from my goal weight. Has anyone felt the glucogon work at the lower doses. I am thinking of going down to 3mg this week and see how it goes. It may not be the drug for me. And also this may be the start of maintenance of me. TBD

Crazy questions, have any of your surgeons known you were on Reta during your surgery timeframe. I am on reta 4.75 after a couple years of wegovey and ozempic. I stopped losing weight on those two. I only have about 15 lbs to go but I am planning for one surgery in October and one in December.

I have told my regular doctors I am still on Zepbound 15mg but also they know I am managing this on my own with telehealth providers. I was thinking of going into maintenance about 4 weeks before surgery. I have access to Zepbound and Reta to make this happen. My long term goal for maintenance is Zepbound, since I will be a smaller dose and unlikely the Reta Glucogon will kick in at 2mg or so. My surgery will be under twilight not full asleep anesthesia.

Level of care at Sutter Health

Wonder how other people are feeling about the level of care and service since Sutter has taken over Sansum. I have had some very expensive issues with how they have billed and before they answered my emails they sent me to collections. Also when I go to clinic now there are people on top of each other. Assume they are scheduling people more closely together. I know they have a lot of great doctors there but curious how other patients are being affected. I will not go back. It's really sad what has happened.

dexa harder to get now for me

I live in a smaller town and my local hospital where I have been getting body comp/dexa every six months just dramatically changed their availability. I was thinking of buying a Hume scale but have heard people with Lipedema get odd results. Is that true? Anyone with the Hume scale have results that are helpful or directional?

When to have surgery

Have a question I am hoping those with experience can answer. I am stage 2. in the process of scheduling surgery. I have been on GLP for two years and have lost 70 lbs. AM post menopausal. I am about 20 lbs away from goal weight. I work out with a trainer two times a week and she measures me every six weeks. Today was the first time my butt and leg measurements went up. Other measurements were down or neutral. I am wondering, have I hit the stage where I only have fibrotic fat left in thighs and butt? If I keep losing weight will I just lose muscle and pull from places like my face? I know it's hard to know but wondering if I am better off having surgery before losing more weight. Any thoughts?
