I've got a 100 LiOn battery in my camper, a charge controller and a 20 watt solar panel up top the roof. It sits for a few months between use. And it gets parked a long ways from a 120 V outlet.

Should I disconnect the battery, bring it in the house and put a LiOn trickle charger on it, or should I leave it connected in the camper and connected to the solar panel?

I ask this cause I want to take care of the battery, but I also would like to cover the solar panel so it doesn't cook out on the summer sun all summer.
