Blacking out before core pure 1 , affected my performance a lot

Afternoon.

Before my core pure 1 paper, I blacked out. Although I was then conscious during the paper this meant that my performance was way below optimal which means I’m probably going to miss my A* further maths offer from Warwick and UCL to study maths. Gutted really as I was doing a lot better in prior past papers. Ive got an emergency appointment today to find out what’s going on, as the same thing happened about 2 weeks ago.

Has anybody ever resat their A levels and still gotten into these courses?

Warwick maths resit A levels for medical circumstances

Evening

Shortly before the core pure 1 paper, I blacked out. I regained consciousness and sat the paper, but was hazy and wasn’t able to give my best performance. This isn’t the first time this has happened. It’s not very clear (to me at least) whether the maths course allows for the resitting of A levels past year 13 for reasons like this.

Has anybody here had any experience with resitting A levels and getting into Warwick for a department that typically doesn’t allow resits? Thanks for any advice

Evening people,

I have received my offer to study the g100 Bsc mathematics course at Warwick. This comes after a disappointing cycle of getting rejected by imperial for their maths course after a slightly mediocre TMUA.

I see a lot of conflicting information about people saying “oh if you don’t go to Oxbridge you’re basically finished” or how “pretty much any decent uni for maths will land you an interview”

May I ask, is it significantly more difficult to break into Quant from Warwick maths from imperial or should I consider taking a gap year?

Should I also consider doing my masters at Cambridge/imperial after my Bsc at Warwick? I could also do the integrated masters there.

Thanks for any advice given
