Why is there a security guy checking bags at Cinema Scotiabank Montreal?

Went to watch Disclosure Day and Toy Story 5 and there was a guy in the entrance downstairs checking all bags. There were people with snacks and whatnot once inside so the focus is not people sneaking goodies in. Any ideas why they are doing this now at this specific cinema? Does it have anything to do with the incident a while ago (guy slashing the screen or something like that). Not sure if the incident was there at that cinema either.

P.S: Went to see Supergirl and the guard was not there (so confused lol).

Hello, my landlord sent me a notice of lease renewal about a month ago with an increase in rent of +116 (8% increase) plus Internet being provided by them and heating cost now being transferred to me. I refused because I was under the impression the change was only the TAL suggested % but only now I realized it's the % plus their costs.

I would have still refused it because I do not trust them to have a good internet service (they suck at maintenance requests), and heating cost being transferred to me does not make sense at all because there are not even thermostats in my unit. We've had hot beginning of summer days where the heating still on because they claim they cannot turn it on and off or regulate it at will.

They sent me a final notice saying they would agree to a +$100 increase but the other two clauses are non-negotiable. I am concerned of going to the TAL and getting a worst decision than what they offer. They said the cost of going to the TAL might fall onto me and that decision would be public but that second part I knew and doesn't seem to be an issue in practice.

Any advice? I live in Ville Saint Laurent near Cote Vertu metro if that helps.
