How frequently should oil changes be done during the break in period? According to Porsche, the break in is 930 miles and you should change the oil after that. We did an oil change at 750 miles. Blackstone report was normal for a first oil change (elevated copper and silicates, but nothing else out of range). Is it reasonable to do additional oil changes and analysis at like 1500, 3000, and 5000, before going to a more normal schedule ? The logic would be to make sure no issues are emerging after the 930 mile mark. Or is that just paranoid and a waste of money?

My sister and I both bought sports cars in our mid thirties. My dad retired and he was feeling left out. Last summer I introduced him to the racetrack, and things escalated quickly. Good for him for thoroughly enjoying his retirement. He worked hard. He deserves to have some fun.

I got a pair of used demo Mirus Cors for a good price last year. I skied about 5 days on them myself, and they felt good. Recently noticed this little bit of topsheet delamination around the area where the binding rails are mounted to the ski. Are these toast? I'll fill it with epoxy, but would it also help to mount some normal bindings to provide a different, and smaller, mounting footprint? I don't want to invest in new bindings for skis that are on their final days.
