[Online][5e][English][CET][RP-heavy] Looking for 1 new player for an ongoing D&D campaign — starting at Level 5
Hi everyone,
we are looking for one new player to join our ongoing D&D campaign.
So far, we have played 10 sessions, with a total of roughly 32 hours of playtime. The group currently has four players. The characters started at Level 3, are currently Level 4, and will reach Level 5 after the current adventure. One of our players will leave the campaign after this adventure, so we are looking for someone new to join when the next chapter begins.
The new adventure will start at Level 5 and will likely begin in about 2–3 weeks.
A few important details:
We play in English, and everyone in the group is over 30.
The campaign is very roleplay-heavy. The player who is leaving really likes the story, the other players, and me as the DM, but the campaign turned out to be too RP-focused for him. So I want to be very upfront about that.
There have been sessions where we maybe rolled dice only 2–3 times, and the rest was roleplay, mostly between the player characters. There have also been sessions that were about 90% combat, puzzles, and skill checks, so it definitely varies. But overall, the campaign leans strongly toward roleplay, because that is what the players enjoy.
So the ideal new player should be someone who is genuinely roleplay-affine, enjoys character interaction, emotional scenes, player-driven conversations, and slower story moments. Of course there is still combat, danger, puzzles, and exploration, but if you mainly want tactical combat every session, this probably will not be the best fit.
We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborative storytelling, is reliable, respectful, and comfortable joining an established group and campaign.
