[Online][5E 2024][18+][Sundays 18:00 GMT] Experienced GM and 2 players looking for 4 players for long-form campaign

The Imperator rules with an iron fist. Today marks ten years since their ascension to absolute dominion over the nation of Talar, and the commencement of their conquest of the continent. Now, only a few outposts of resistance remain, and once these fall, the Imperator’s victory will be all but assured. In Talar, the Knights Absolutus root out elements of dissent without mercy. Abroad, the Talarian armies — bolstered by demons and fell magics, sweep away all before them.

You are survivors or descendants of the old regime, brought together by an old friend in the hopes of launching a revolution to end the Imperator’s reign of terror. For you, this is personal. But in order to triumph, you will need to inspire hope, and to stoke the fires of resistance in the hearts of the common people of Talar, and uncover the secrets behind the Imperator’s rise and the sources of their seemingly limitless power.

But we won’t start there. We will begin on the eve of the fall of the old Kingdom. Your characters for this first adventure will be prominent figures in the old regime; advisors, bodyguards, captains, scholars, politicians or spies, and we will play to find out how your characters tried, and failed, to stop the Rise of the Imperator.

So that’s the pitch! Essentially, a brief prologue adventure exploring the events surrounding the rise of the Imperator, and then a long form campaign focused on a growing revolution. The characters for the main campaign will either be survivors from the first, or their children/friends/relatives who have plenty of reason to see the Talarian Empire fall. In terms of character creation, we’ll start with characters for the prologue, then make new/adjusted characters for the main campaign.

We’re currently 2 players and myself the GM looking to go up to 5 or 6 ideally. We’ll be running D&D 5.5 online with Roll20, as well as some additional homebrew rules. Our table is 18+ and LGBTQ+ friendly and we’ll be running weekly at 6pm GMT on Sundays. If you’re interested, please fill out the following form, thanks!

[Online] [Fridays 8pm BST] [PbtA] My Hero Academia Roleplay Heavy Game - Heroes of the Future

Campaign name: Dreams of the Hero Course / Heroes of the Future

TTRPG: PbtA System

Number of Players: 2/5

Time and Date: 8pm BST Fridays

Session length: Around 3 to 4 hours

DMing style: Character focused, narrative driven, and roleplay heavy with a mix of action, school life, emotional drama, rivalries, and long term character growth.

Minimum game knowledge: Beginner, totally new players welcome

Required platforms: Discord Voice

Restrictions: No canon characters as main cast members. This game will take place in the My Hero Academia universe, but the story, students, teachers, villains, and conflicts will be original.

Content warning: Superhero violence, school pressure, injuries, villain attacks, emotional conflict, character trauma, bullying themes, danger to students, and occasional darker story arcs.

Homebrew: Yes.

Story:

I’m looking to run a My Hero Academia game where everyone’s character begins as an aspiring student applying to their dream course. The story will begin with the pressure and excitement of the entrance exam.

Your character will compete against other hopeful applicants, face challenges designed to test their quirk, instincts, courage, and creativity, and try to earn their place among the future heroes of society.

From there, the game will follow their school years as they train, make rivals and friends, discover what kind of hero they want to become, and face obstacles both inside and outside the classroom. Expect exams, internships, school events, rival students, villain threats, personal growth, and choices that shape the path ahead.

This will be a character focused story with room for drama, action, slice of life moments, and emotional development. Your character does not have to be perfect or powerful from the start. In fact, struggling, failing, learning, and growing is part of the fun, so I encourage characters with quirks that have clear limits, drawbacks, or room to improve.

Notes:

This is not a game about starting as the strongest student in the room. It is about becoming someone worth believing in. I want players who enjoy teamwork, character arcs, rivalries, friendships, and dramatic school based storytelling. Creativity matters more than raw power, and your character’s choices will have lasting effects on their future.

New players are welcome, and you do not need deep knowledge of My Hero Academia to join. As long as you like superhero school stories, emotional growth, and characters trying to find their place in the world, you should fit right in.

[Online] [5e 2014] Curse of Strahd | Sundays | 4PM HST / 10PM EDT / 12pm AEST | The road to Barovia is always open…but not everyone who enters finds their way back out.

Strahd von Zarovich was a count, a prince, a soldier, and a conqueror. After the death of his father, King Barov, Strahd waged long, bloody wars against his family’s enemies. He and his army cornered the last of them in a remote mountain valley before slaying them all.

The idyllic valley nestled in the Balinok Mountains was a slice of heaven to those who knew of its existence before Strahd’s arrival. The serenity of the place was forever shattered when Strahd led a bloody crusade that ended here with the slaughter of thousands. Struck by the scenic beauty of his most recent conquest and eager to escape the shadow of his father’s legacy, Strahd made the valley his home and named it Barovia after the late King Barov.

The dark silhouette of Castle Ravenloft looms over the village from its perch atop a thousand foot high column of rock known as the Pillarstone of Ravenloft. Barovians were once a happy people, but they have been terrorized for centuries by the one they call “the devil Strahd.

~

To a party of seasoned adventurers such as yourselves, what you see is but another dull tavern in another dull town in some nameless province. It is merely another pause between the challenges of true adventuring! However, outside the tavern, a fog lies over the town this evening. The damp, cobbled pavement glistens as the lights of street lanterns dance across the slick stones. The fog chills the bones and unsettles the soul of anyone outside. Yet inside these tavern walls, the food is hearty and the ale is crisp and frothy. A fire blazes in the hearth, and the tavern is alive with the rumbling voices of country folk.

Suddenly, the tavern door swings open, and a hush falls over the room. Framed by the lamp lit fog, a figure strides through the doorway. His heavy, booted footfalls and the jingle of his coins shatter the silence. His brightly colored clothes are draped in loose folds about him, and his hat hangs askew, hiding his eyes in shadow. Without hesitation, he walks up to your table and stands proudly in a wide stance with folded arms.

In an accented voice, he says, “I ‘ave been sent to you… to deliver zis message, if you are… creatures of ‘onor, you will come to my master’s aid at first light. It is not… advisable to travel the Svalich Woods by night.” He pulls from his tunic a sealed letter, addressed to all of you in beautiful, flowing script. He drops the letter on the table. “Take the west road from ‘ere, some five hours march down through the Svalich Woods. There you will find my master, in Barovia.”

Amid the silent stares of the patrons, the mysterious figure strides to the bar and says to the wary barkeep, “Fill the glasses, one and all. Their throats are obviously parched.” He drops a purse heavy with gold on the bar. With that, he leaves.

The babble of tavern voices resumes, though somewhat subdued. The letter lies before you, its seal bearing a crest you do not recognize...

༺⚜━━━✧━━━⚜༻

We’re looking for a group of brave (or perhaps doomed) adventurers to step into the shadows of Curse of Strahd, a gothic horror campaign steeped in tragedy, dread, and difficult choices. This is not a lighthearted romp through the woods. This is a slow burning descent into darkness where your choices matter… and your survival is never guaranteed.

༺⚜═══⚜༻

Schedule
Sundays at 4 PM HST / 7 PM MST / 10pm EDT / 12pm AEST
Session 0 will be: July 19th
⚠️The DM does not observe Daylight Saving Time, so please be mindful when converting time zones. ⚠️

༺⚜━━━✧━━━⚜༻
About the DM
Chernz (she/her), early 30s, based in Hawaii.
She’s been DMing for about two years and is currently running four tables (yes, she thrives in chaos :p). Her games lean into character driven storytelling and meaningful consequences with some fun combat! (Roughly 60% RP / 40% combat).

༺⚜═══⚜༻

Platform & Rules
• Platform: Roll20
• Module: Curse of Strahd (purchased and shared by the DM)
• Ruleset: 2014 5e rules
• Style: Roughly 60% RP / 40% combat, adjustable based on group preference
• Session length: 3ish hours
•Homebrew is OK per DM approval.(No artificers and/or warforged as the setting seems a bit far fetched for them)
•Absolutely NO AI. (This goes for both the DM and players.)

༺⚜━━━✧━━━⚜༻

Player Spots
1/5 filled. We do prefer an older group, as most of us are in our 30s, but this is not a hard requirement. Maturity and enthusiasm matters more than age.

༺⚜═══⚜༻

Tone & Content Warnings
Curse of Strahd is a horror module and includes heavy themes. This is a world where actions carry weight. Death is not the goal… but it is a very real possibility. Please come prepared with a backup character and please review these trigger warnings carefully before applying.

Major Themes Include:
>!• Extreme violence and torture!<
>!• Body horror (including medical horror)!<
>!• Abuse (romantic and familial)!<
>!• Cannibalism!<
>!• References to sexual violence!<
>!• Suicide!<
>!• Violence toward children!<
>!• Incest!<

Additional Considerations:
>!• Ableism!<
>!• Cultural stereotypes!<
>!• Class disparity!<
>!• Graphic torture!<

This table will prioritize player safety and comfort, but the setting itself is intentionally dark. Please keep that in mind, as we will be running the game as written.

༺⚜━━━✧━━━⚜༻

Applying
Here is the Google Form to fill out. This is not first come, first serve. We’re looking for players who fit the tone, vibe, and group dynamic. Applications will remain open until Friday, July 10th. Bring your creativity, your emotional damage, and maybe a backup character sheet or two! ;] We will be holding vibe checks on the 12th and 13th. (I can absolutely work with your schedule if those days don't work!)

༺⚜✧━━━✧⚜༻

Final Note
Please do not comment on this post just to say you’ve submitted your form. It creates unnecessary notifications and clutters the thread for everyone. If you have an actual question that hasn’t already been answered, by all means, comment!

Just to be clear, I am not the DM. I’ve volunteered to help find a few more players to round out the table. That said, I’m excited to see what kind of shenanigans we end up with once the party is assembled.

Good luck, adventurers!

Dark Heresy 2E: Blind Fool's Folly Campaign [ONLINE][40K][Fridays 17:00 CEST]

>Ghast's Song is a world of dust, steel, and secrets. A vital linchpin of the Segmentum Tempestus, the arid hive world survives beneath endless skies of choking toxes and violent sandstorms, where only the towering spires of Hive City Fumos offer refuge from a dying atmosphere and failing infrastructure. Beneath the neon-lit heights of the noble districts and the endless machinery of the lower habs, millions struggle for survival amongst forgotten tunnels, abandoned sectors, and the ruins of an empire stretched too thin. The beloved Mukhasash Al-Bawad dynasty rules Fumos with wealth, tradition, and a reputation for protecting its people... but every great house casts a long shadow, and beneath the family's gilded halls lie secrets that could damn an entire world.

>You have been drawn from across the Imperium by a mysterious Inquisitor whose methods are as enigmatic as the enemies you hunt. Like pieces upon a regicide board, you will be moved across the hive to uncover hidden threats, expose traitors, and determine which pieces must be sacrificed to preserve the whole. Cults, forbidden technologies, corrupted bloodlines, and rival ambitions are only the beginning; every clue may be a trap, every ally may be compromised, and every victory may reveal a deeper conspiracy. On Ghast's Song, the question is not whether corruption exists; it is how far it has already spread, and whether there is anything left worth saving.

Looking For Players

Time: Fridays 17:00 CEST

System: Dark Heresy 2E

Players: 5-6

Method of Play: Discord for Voice, Roll20 for VTT

Hi! My name is Leo, and I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs for around 7 years, and roleplaying in general for more than twice that long. Dark Heresy was one of the first systems I played because I’m a huge fan of the setting.

I’ve run all kinds of campaigns across different systems (Call of Cthulhu, World of Darkness, D&D, Shadowdark, Traveller...), and I also ran a Rogue Trader campaign for half a year. So I’m not a complete beginner, but I’d like to get the hang of running Dark Heresy and find committed, dedicated players who would be interested in a medium-to-short campaign.

Ideally, you have the availability and commitment to see the campaign through the year. If you're looking to get immersed in the roleplay aspect and uncover the truth behind what's happening in Hive City Fumos, feel free to post your application below, following the template provided in the topics underneath this LFG.

https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/12777727/post-your-applications-here-open

If you have any questions feel free to post them over here or send me a DM.

[Online] [vtm] [GMT+2] an experienced ttrper looking to get back into vtm:)

Hey :) I'm Ela (23f), and I've been playing TTRPGs for 17 years now (yeah, they got me young 😅). Mostly dnd (4e, 5e & 5.5e), but some other systems too (Cold City, Cyberpunk, etc) as well as larping.

My experience with VTM has been through a few one shots, and I had great fun every time!

I'd really like to get into a proper campaign, I don't mind which edition🤷‍♀️

I'd say I'm a pretty fun player, I like mechanics but I'm mostly into the collaborative storytelling aspects:)

I think a biweekly thing would work best for my schedule rn

So if you've got a space in your group for another fledgling, let's talk:)

[Online][5e 2024][PBP] Looking for a player interested in a 1-on-1 game. (GMT+1)

I am looking for something perhaps more typical DnD fantasy. In the world magic is not something most common people will ever experience save for the occasional monster attack or stumbling upon lost ruins if they stray too far. However, in the main town of this game there is a magic academy though the students will be wealthy and sparse. Equally, in this town, power is split between the Guilds and the Temple. The area around the town is also predominantly desert though verdant nature sprouts along the river. Who you play to explore this world is pretty open as I love discussing character ideas.

I am looking for a player interested in a 1-on-1 PBP sandbox game with different quests and scenarios. Given you are the only player what character you make means we can make a particular story based upon that though I have some ideas as well.

I have been DMing for over a decade both for both live and PBP games and would describe myself as a DM that enjoys including player engagement through backstory and world building. Given that this is a PBP game someone who is able to write in a pretty grammatically correct manner is appreciated. I am not looking to write a novel but poor grammar does ruin the flow and enjoyment. Likewise writing more than two lines per response is appreciated though I know some scenes may not require as much writing as others.

Absolutely no AI for replies or any refs (I am happy to use refs but please make human made art)

>“The talk of the streets and taverns has all been about the so-called death curse… Well, at least that used to be the talk a few months ago. Although you were meant to go and investigate this curse in the faraway Chult peninsula… alas, you didn’t clear the second round of interviews. Shame, really.
“With luck not any more on your side since then, rumors of the death curse have come and gone. At some point in recent weeks, raising the dead even became possible again. Not that that made your life any more interesting. Still, no grand announcements, no heroes returning in triumph, just a quiet recognition of the curse’s absence.
"But, as is tradition, when one story ends, another begins. With a fresh letter of invitation in your hands, perhaps your grand adventure may finally be on the horizon. All that’s left is to pray whatever it is you’re up against isn’t worse than the so-called death curse.”

What... is this?

This was Tomb of Annihilation, but I'm taking it upon myself to remix it in its entirety. Different premise, different characters, a different vibe to the frontier city, either changed up or completely new dungeons and dangers, even a little bit of planeswalking sprinkled in. It won't be a meat grinder, but I'd like it to be more gritty, at least out there in the jungle. What I'll keep is the hexcrawl exploration, the jungle survival, the loose factional play, and the immaculate vibes of Chult: Occult, wild, colorful, dire.

I'm also planning on using and subjecting you to some homebrew, namely Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting, Ryoko's Guide to the Yokai Realms, as well as the upcoming Heliana x Ryoko playtest (No more beyond this, let's keep it tight: PHB 2024, the FR stuff, and this). Whether you spend most of your time exploring hexes for new discoveries, keeping to urban adventuring, parleying with the diverse civilizations in the jungle, or monster hunting, I'll leave you to prioritize, or hopefully do all of the above.

What isn't it?

It won't be on rails. I'll have a plan and it'll be based on what you've done before and what you tell me you'd like to do, but that means I'll be expecting you to have notes, be present, have ideas of what your character wants, and weighing options for where to go and what to do next. It won't be a sandbox without any plot, though, in fact I'm pretty proud of the premise that I'd like to develop together with you guys through your play. Instead, consider it a collection of curated adventures, created by myself, or adapted and reworked.

It also won't be a consistent dungeoncrawl, like Mad Mage. It'll have dungeons to crawl, but not always. I don't have an "end target" for my plot, either. I made characters, they have goals just like yours, and we'll see how far they get when they make contact with your choices. Also, this probably won't be a horror game, at least beyond some choice situations we might create. Finally, maybe most importantly, it won't be short xD I remember my original Tomb of Annihilation crews rushing through within 3 months, whipped by the Death Curse. Freed from those chains, I can only guess that this campaign might last a year or two.

Oh right, you and me:

Hey, I'm LX, early 30s GM for soon to be two decades. I guess my GMing style is permissive but consequential, so you should feel encouraged to have your characters be proactive and suggest new paths if they make sense. I also will tighten my hold on a scene if I feel like it's needed and aimless, but I'm always keen on ruling things fairly. I've been on an immersion grind for a while now, so even though I like to keep a relaxed and light-hearted atmosphere at times, I'm keen to regularly bring us back to in-character storytelling mode, so I expect you to want that, even though it's fine to hop out of character at times as well. You should want to make a character that has goals and interests, and it should be a character that wants to work with people to get places. It's fine if you have little experience with the game, so long as you're willing to learn and read up on some stuff by yourself, I'll gladly help you along and I expect the same of my players. Minmaxers should probably find a different game, though. Oh and no bigotry of any kind, no debate on this point! I'm an LGBTQ+ ally and will tolerate no prejudices, dogwhistles, or similar harmful behaviors. It would be cool if we could get a real group dynamic going and befriend each other, rather than just meeting once per week for some DnD. Oh and no murder-hobos, or evil characters.

To summarize: I'm looking for nice, inclusive roleplayers that are open to combat and exploration as well, who can vibe between serious and light-hearted sessions. No need for accents or amazing acting, just a desire to be immersed.

The Application

Questionnaires seem to be the meta, so I've made one, too. To apply, fill out this questionnaire! I'll close it Friday evening and start reaching out on Sunday over Discord, I think.

Thanks for reading, have a nice day~

EDIT: Lots of responses to go through, sorry if it might take me until Monday instead of Sunday to reach out.

[5e 2014] [Online] [LGBTQ+ Friendly!] [CET] Looking to run The Wild Beyond the Witchlight!

Hello all! I'm a GM looking for five players to get a group together! I've had plenty of experience running games like 5e or others, and I’d like to guide you on this whimsical adventure.

A few tidbits of info:

* The game will take place from 19:30 to 22:00 Central European Time on Tuesdays.

* We will be using Discord and Foundry, so we hope you can run both simultaneously!

* We’re a LGBTQ+ and BIPOC friendly table, so no prejudice of any kind will be tolerated!

* I'm a young adult and I hope to be playing with people with similar ages to mine, but it isn’t a problem if you’re older! However, we’re not accepting underage players!

* This campaign won’t be anything groundbreaking. It’s simply an officially released module that we will be playing with 2014 5e rules, primarily as written, with some player backstory input (which the module is somewhat expecting by itself as well.)

* The Wild Beyond the Witchlight is an adventure for D&D 5e taking place over the 1st until 8th level. It starts with the characters getting into a realm of the feywild through the Witchlight Carnival, where they’ll have run-ins with many whimsical peoples and monsters, while they try to search for something lost.

I will be conducting an interview process, so please fill out the google forms below so I can reach out!

[Online][Delta Green][Fridays 6 PM CET] Impossible Landscapes & Other Delta Green Operations inspired by the X-Files and Conspiracy Horror fiction

Teaser video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Albop3XB8-o

Government agents investigate the unnatural. Conspiracies, cover-ups, cosmic horror. An anthology of Delta Green operations to lead us into the acclaimed Impossible Landscapes campaign revolving around the Yellow King.

🗓️ When: Fridays at 6 PM CET (GMT+1). 4 to 5 hours per session. Start late July, finish by the end of the year. 1–3 sessions per operation.

🎙️ How: Opt into standalone operations. English. Voice only. Discord & Owlbear Rodeo.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Who: Larger group of friendly, nerdy, queer-friendly people. Several returning friends from previous campaigns.

✍️ How to join: Apply by filling this form. Don't rush it!

HELLO, YOU!

Hey! I'm Max, a 23-year-old from Czechia. By day I study nuclear engineering; by night I run tabletop RPGs. I feel oddly nostalgic for early 2000s angsty-teenager music, I love pineapple on pizza, I'm a dog person but have opinions on pitbulls, I give death stares to people who vape or listen to stuff on the speaker in public transit and though I really am mostly straight, I do have a thing for Link from Legend of Zelda. Hopefully that makes it clear where I stand on real world issues.

After spending years behind the GM screen for 5e D&D, I've mostly moved on to games like Call of Cthulhu, Mothership, Dungeon Crawl Classics, and now Delta Green. Like many, I have seen the Quinn's Quest review of Delta Green (and the arguably better Seth Skorkowsky review) and decided that Impossible Landscapes is the new Everest I'd like to climb, but I want to do it properly - with this anthology of short-form operations, I intend to first introduce a large group of people to Delta Green, get familiar with it myself by running about half a dozen operations, and only then jump into the 10-15 session Impossible Landscapes campaign early next year.

For me, TTRPGs are as much about the people as the game. I'm looking for players who enjoy hanging out, chatting between sessions, and making friends—not just showing up to roll dice. It should go without saying that I have no interest in hearing the opinion of any terminally online alpha males, terfs, men who know a little too much about WW2, etc. Move on if you fall in those groups.

WHAT'S AN ANTHOLOGY?

Next year, I'll run Impossible Landscapes, a 10-15 campaign for Delta Green which is so good that it truly deserves to a group of players committed to making it as fun as can be, and also well organized. This anthology precedes this campaign. Together, we'll learn about Delta Green, make friends and those interested and capable will play the campaign with us next year.

The anthology is a collection of unconnected operations, each 1 to 3 sessions long. There are going to be about 8 operations between July and November. The group of players will be larger than one game can support (I'm thinking 6 to 10). It'll be like an in-house open table. By joining this cool group of people, you're not committing to being available every week for who knows how long. You merely should be there for all of an operation's sessions if you choose to opt into it.

Expect investigations, moral dilemmas, conspiracy, and horror where violence is often the worst possible solution.

Best of luck, and hopefully I'll see you at the briefing.

[Online][DND 5e 2024][Tuesday 8PM-12:30PM range CEST] Looking for 2-4 more players for an Eter high/dark fantasy campaign.

The year is 54 EE by imperial reckoning, and 1582 KF to most of the rest of the world. A significant conflict has come to define each of the last three generations of peoples living in the empire. First the wars of unification led by Faras Eter and Neric Eterguard that saw Eter rise from a significant city-state to the premier power of the region. Thirty-two years the crown prince Altas Eter murdered his father and began the Eterian Civil War. Neric Eterguard chose to support Altas' younger brother, Solaras Eter following this act of treachery and ultimately Altas Eter fell far to the north to Alissia Stormwrought's blade, the last of his armies led by his servants Sorik of Paisorik and Warren Trueseer falling shortly after in the east. Most recently an army referring to themselves as "The Children" has descended from the far north beyond the Kelsar Mountains. Vanguards led by Troyas Worldburner and Dakas Dragonsfall cut deeply into the empire, before the main imperial force led by Solaras and Neric met The Children in pitched battle at Kelsarcaste. The imperials met with defeat, Solaras and Neric both making it out alive but the back of the imperial army was broken. With no organized army to even slow them The Children rapidly took control of the empire, though skirting clear of the vassal city-states of Polnozgorod, Siloth, Ozeromishc, and the kingdom of Nosson. The empire was split into four areas of governance the north controlled by High Judge Alaras Godbreaker. The west controlled by Vanca Spellblade. The south controlled by Vorenas Runehide. The east controlled by Oras Thousand-Slayer.

Six months have passed since the battle of Kelsarcaste and The Children are finding controlling the empire to be a more difficult task than conquering it. Adventurers from across the empire and lands beyond make preparations to seek riches as The Children offer wealth and land in exchange for help policing the empire. Meanwhile the vast imperial treasury has been opened by the exiled emperor Solaras to hire a mercenary army to retake his lands. Aside independent politicians and warlords carve out personal fiefdoms in the ensuing chaos giving rise to veritable armies of bandits on the roads. With all eyes on the future of the empire, whispers begin to rise from the dark hidden places of the world and long banished cults and evil creatures slowly rise.

Alright if the campaign intro has you interested at all, here is where I scare you off on account of I'm an elderly curmudgeon. So first I should say where it says range 2PM-6:30 I mean it'll fall within those hours, but I don't plan on really running 4.5 hours, it'll probably be like 2-5 or 3-6, to be decided once the group is full. We'll be using discord for voice, and foundry for battle maps. Generally not in combat will be theatre of the mind (although I usually do have a map I'm keeping track of where you are on)

Even though I don't run ERP or anything like that the game is 18+ just because I don't like children.

Only classes and races in the 2024 PHB will be permitted.

While I don't expect 100% attendance, things happen, I expect good attendance, and if you miss session 0 or session 1 you're just done, I've had this happen several times to the point I'm like "there's always 1" where somebody misses session 1 with basically no notice and it's never "oh an emergency and totally out of character for them" it's always "they're a complete flake and an inconsiderate douche and they're going to have trash attendance until they quit or you kick them."

Don't be weird, don't be cringe, be capable of matching the energy in the room. The first 2 should be self explanatory, if you have to ask "well what is weird and cringe" well probably you are. As for matching the energy in the room that's mostly if somebody is kind of in the spotlight having a super serious moment, don't be like "I walk in the room and throw a pie in their face." Also I'd say things that affect the party should be decided by the party. An example- had a moment in my Thursday campaign last week where the party wanted the sorcerer to distract an, at the moment, non-hostile entity so they could investigate something. He pretty much immediately initiated combat because he's a complete fucking moron I should've kicked already, and it's like "it's bad enough that you're just a roleplay black hole because you have the attention span and conversation skills of a goldfish, but you very possibly might've just killed the entire party and none of them even got input on if they wanted to fight this."

Finally when/if you join you'll be bombarded with lore, you'll be expected to write a backstory to match the setting (which I'll help with to match things like places/events.) Mostly putting this because I think with the rise in popularity of isekai animes I've seen a real rise in "I'm just some dude from another world" and it's like "cool, so not only can you basically not have any plot hooks, you're also gonna be annoying as fuck the whole time."

So! If I still haven't scared you off, leave a comment on here or reddit message me and I'll get back to you. Also if you have any questions feel free to ask in a comment.

Title- [21+] [D&D 5e 2014] [Looking for 1 Female Player] [Weekly Game] [ongoing Out of the Abyss] [Online] [Tuesday 7:30pm until 10pm] [Evening] [UK timezone GMT]

CLOSED!

Thank you for taking an interest! The application process here is now closed. Best of luck everyone with finding a group!

Hello, my group of three players and I are looking for a fourth player to join our ongoing Out of The Abyss Campaign. Would like a female player as we currently have two male players, a male DM, and one female player. This is her personal request. We are all around our mid twenties and are only a couple sessions from the start of the campaign and still at a point where it is straightforward to write in a new character. To give an introduction the Campaign is focused on Drow, Demons, and other Underdark inhabitants and is by all accounts fully based in the Underdark, an underground world in the forgotten realms. Players in the game have all made characters with connections to the Underdark linked to the campaign that I have worked with them for.

Ideally we are looking for an experienced player/ forever DM who has a specific interest in playing a campaign based in the Underdark where you’ll be exploring caverns, encountering and engaging primarily with Demons drow and other underdark inhabitants. We would like someone who is flexible and wants to work with the group to integrate their character into the group and the campaign itself who is a team player.

The Party is made up of a Bard, a Druid, and a Ranger all currently at level 2. For character creation we use the point buy method to keep things fair and give players creativity with their stats. For this campaign the group are not using homebrew for their characters, but of course optional choices from Tasha’s are available to be used.

The campaign is relaxed and casual with a healthy mix of roleplay and combat to try and make sure that there is something for everyone. Everyone at the table is friendly and engaged with lots of experience in D&D where we are all just trying to have fun.

Looking forward to reading through the applications that can be submitted here- https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdu4lUoXm31x4i8Rc9dGQdP5KV8rnZEuZX4jWjwfcDt-1-NQQ/viewform?usp=publish-editor

[Online][5E 2024][BST][18+][LGBTQ+ Friendly] Welcome to the World of Aeorthis!

>Fifteen years the Throne has sat empty, and for fifteen years the Noble Houses have called it "peace". But how long can this peace truly last? The roads are thick with Mist, the Houses are restless, and an empty Throne waits at Vandermere for anyone with the power to claim it. Yet for those bold enough to walk between the cracks, opportunity has never been richer. Coin, secrets, and power lie scattered across a land too busy watching itself to watch you. The only question left is whose side you'll be standing on when the peace finally breaks.

Hi all! I'm Nat and I'm the DM and creator of this homebrew world of Aeorthis, I'm here looking for 2 - 3 players for this campaign that will likely go from 1 - 20. It's important to state upfront I'm not just looking for players but looking to build a friendship group and a community, where we are friends first and dnd players second.

A bit about me though, I'm 26 years old and based in the UK have a love of fantasy, horror, Warhammer, weird stuff and the owner of one lovely greyhound. I've been DMing on and off since I was 17, with this being my longest break where I haven't DM'd in about 3 years at this point through life circumstances getting in the way, but looking forward to building a new story with new lovely people.

What can you expect from me as your DM?

I'm a storyteller at heart so you can expect a campaign with an overarching story that will run through the campaign culminating in an epic showdown that will hopefully be talked about for years to come. You can expect a vibrant world with a wonderful cast of NPC's, a world where your decisions will have consequences, where the actions your characters take have meaning. But above all you can expect to have fun, this is a game where I want to sit down with like-minded people each week and have fun, whilst we tell a shared story together, this isn't a game where the DM's story is going to get in the way of the tables experience, the tables story is the game and it is the story we'll be telling together.

What do I require from you as a player?

 • Your attention, no playing League of Legends whilst we play dnd (Yes this has happened before)
 • A good quality microphone.
 • A quiet space where you will feel comfortable roleplaying and engaging in the game.
 • Aged 18 and over.
 • Experience with 5e is a plus but I value the right personality and attitude over experience with the system.
 • Comfortable using a computer, we will be playing via Foundry VTT.
 • Openness and Maturity, both as a player and as a person.
 • Reliable availability for our session slot, and the courtesy to give notice when life gets in the way.

Sessions will run Fridays, 19:00 BST, roughly 3–4 hours, weekly.

We will be playing with the DnD 5e 2024 ruleset (also known as 5.5e). Below I've listed some information on both the tone and style of campaign and setting:

Tone: Adventure, Grounded within the Setting, Light-hearted Moments and Heroic Fantasy.

Style: Medieval Fantasy, Gothic Cities, Arcane Magic, Exploration/Discovery, and Character Driven Stories.

If this sounds like your kind of table, here's how to throw your hat in: fill out the application form below. From there I'll be running a few short interviews, and then a one-shot session, so we can all get a feel for whether the group clicks before committing to a full campaign.

Feel free to drop any questions in the comments or DM me directly. Looking forward to meeting you!

[Online][DnD 5e 2014/2024][GMT+3] Long-time lurker but first-time player looking for starter campaign (LMoP)

Hello! I have technically been reading the rules and observing dnd for about 3 years, but I have not played a proper full party game before. I am hoping to find a group to play and get more use to roleplaying.

Time zone: GMT+3

Day&Time: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 3pm until 10pm would be preferred but I have an open schedule. (to be clear, I do not mean I expect a 7 hour session, I am saying that I have a large gap where I am available between those times. The session length would be what everyone can manage, especially the DM.)

System: I am okay with either dnd 5e 2014 or 2024 depending on what the DM wants to run and what the other players would prefer.

Tools: Likely Discord or roll20, again whatever everyone prefers.

Looking for: Around 3 to 4 players + DM. Other Noobs okay of course.

Age: I am 18+ and would prefer the group to be as well.

Module: LMoP preferred.

Curse of Strahd Revamped | [D&D 5.5e] [Online] [GMT/UTC] [0/5]

Greetings, travelers! I am Vick, Game Master for the Curse of Strahd Revamped Campaign. I am looking for 5 players, who are willing to step into a campaign like no other. For those who will ask if this is normal Curse of Strahd, the answer is. It is not. This is a modified, changed and rewritten CoS campaign, with addition of content from past modules and books, with additional story and plot hooks, quests and opportunities for you to uncover. However, unlike the 5e Curse of Strahd, this campaign steps off the cliff and dives deep into dark, grim style of how a horror campaign should be. From psychological to physical horror, grim dark themes and much more, this version of the campaign is meant to be much more serious, and much, and I mean much more dangerous. This allows for a campaign within such world, allows to set up a much darker and much more interesting story for you to become part of.

If you are interested, message me on Discord @hthnxulfr or leave a comment bellow your Discord handle and I will get in contact with you. If you have questions, freely ask them

Requirements for Players:

Age - 18+

Timezone - GMT/UTC

Play Time and Day - **Fridays, 5pm GMT\

How we play - Discord VC, D&D Beyond, Theatre of a Mind/D&D Maps

[Online][DND 5e 2014/2024][CET] A sad last ditch effort before probably burning out and quitting the hobby

Hello to whoever even made it this far.

Skip to the TL;DR to get past the ramble if you want, but I wanted to be upfront.

I am sorry for the dire title, but it perfectly captures how this hobby has been for me lately. I love D&D. I’ve played for 5-6 years now, even ran two campaigns myself (mostly because I couldn't find a DM for my friends), and when it works, it's great. I look forward to it every week. I’m a dedicated player. I write lots of notes, put a ton of effort into my backstories, and do my best to make sure everyone at the table is having a good time.

But I am incredibly burned out. We all know scheduling is a massive issue, but interpersonal drama is just as bad. Sadly they're both very common reasons for groups to go their separate ways and I am just tired of making new characters and playing with new people all the time just because people cannot figure out their schedule or their differences. I make such an effort with my own character but also being accommodating with the other players but sadly it usually just doesn't last...

Sadly this back and forth of finding new groups and getting to know new people and breaking apart before even getting familiar, just isn't a loop I want to take part in much longer.
It's my by far favourite hobby but I just cant take that forever and will rather step away from the hobby entirely if I just can't find my forever people.

TL;DR & What I am looking for:

I'm looking for a stable group I can play with weekly or bi-weekly. Since I'm in CET and working/in school as a software dev, weekdays are tough because of the commute. Weekends are ideal for me (Friday evenings, Saturdays, or Sundays). I only play 5e (2014 or 2024 rules are fine), and I don't mind if it's an official module or a homebrew world.

Gameplay-wise, I prefer roleplay and exploration over combat. Combat is obviously important and happens, but RP is just more engaging for me. I like a serious tone, I definitely make lots of jokes, but I try to time them right so it doesn't turn a serious moment into a goofy mess. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I'm open to whatever you use.

A bit about me: I'm 28, German, and highly reliable (I mean I am German so obviously). I always keep game days free and only miss sessions for actual emergencies. Character-wise, I tend to gravitate toward clerics or religion-adjacent characters because I'm fascinated by belief in a world with direct divine intervention. That said, I can have fun with any class and will happily fill whatever role the party needs.

Random extra info: I have a decent setup, a good internet connection, and hopefully a pleasant deep voice for RP! Also, I am practically a goliath in real life at 203cm (6'8), but I'd love to play someone regular-sized and roleplay as what I am not like everybody else haha

As a small side note, I am currently working on a campaign for fun in my free time as I don't have any groups to play in but such a big desire to do anything DnD that's where my efforts currently go, I can't guarantee anything and am currently just seeking a group as a player but if one day I am far enough along with this, where it does not constantly stress me out if I have enough things prepared, I'd be willing to also run a game for the rest if that was even something, anybody would be interested in.

If you're looking for a passionate player and think I'd be a good fit, please reach out. Ask me any questions if I missed something!
