Starting over at 33 (F)

Hi all,

I guess im trying to meet people closer to my age group. Im basically starting over with my move to Stamford. Used to live in queens for a few years until a layoff which forced me to be stuck in my small ct town for like 3 years on and off small contract jobs until recently landing a new full time job.

I’m not really sure how to start over at this age to try and build a fulfilling life with new friends. It was much easier when I moved to the city at age 26. I’m now 33 and I’m not sure people want to make new friends at this age?

Ambivert but more on the introverted side
Moderately active - I like going to the gym and taking walks. I enjoy dance although I’m not a professional
I enjoy traveling alone or with 1 or 2 friends.
Love movie nights.
I feel a little old to be clubbing but I still do enjoy a light night out with the ladies
Cafes and brunch
In building a creative business on the side that I’m looking to scale. Interested in wealth building also
Ambitious but also pretty chill and laid back
own two cats :)

What are your recommendations? Where to start?

So both my girl Nala, and boy Simba (in video) do this creepy thing when they’re laying on me in the morning. They stare at the wall right above my head or to the left of my head wide eyed and frozen almost every day and it freaks me the fuck out. In this video, Simba looks relaxed but is locking in. I don’t have a video of Nala who does this at 4am but she kinda freezes and stares. I hate it.
