Anyone have similar colour with oil slick parts?

Hi! I want to break up the black a bit and do seat post clamp & stem in oil slick just don’t want it to be too over the top. Im used to simple clean builds this is my first flashy build. I threw pedals on but doesn’t really help with an idea since it’s so separated from the rest of the bike. Thanks for any advice!

Got a new bike excited to shred some trails on it, it needs some new tires and crank bolts

Does anyone have a link to what crank bolts this takes? And any recommendations on some good tires?

Considering an upgrade, what’s everyone’s thoughts? I have no problem upgrading as things break just like the cheaper initial option of the 1 opposed to the 2.

29er question

Hi everyone so I used to bmx for like 12-13 years as a younger kid and teenager and was really good at it and was always doing crazy stuff down big stairs etc so I know how to man handle a bike of that size.

I bought this rockhopper 29er just for a cardio mainly rail trails but this year I wanted to start doing some actual mtb trails and doing jumps and stuff again and try to get back into making it more of a hobby then just a cardio styled ride but oh boy! I can’t throw this thing around for the life of me.

It’s a Large frame I’m 5’10” 180 lbs and on the single track trails I feel like I struggle in the tight turns. I’ve been trying to relearn manuals on this & j hops (or bunny hops whatever you guys want to call it) and I can hardly get the thing off the ground it just feels huge for that kind of riding. I’ve been debating now if I would’ve been better with a 27.5 setup for this style of riding or if I just need to keep practicing the right techniques for the bigger bikes.

I would love to start shredding and progressing on the trails cause I’ve been having fun doing it but I’m curious on other people’s thoughts on the 29er. I know it’s harder to jump as Its a big bike. Any tips/ advice would be much appreciated as I once was a talented bmx rider and feel like a complete noob again that wants to be able to confidently shred again.
