Hey all,

I have 22 8Y RS3, took it to dealer recently and they said brakes are low and need replacing. I denied saying I'll come back in a couple weeks. Last I replaced rotors and pads was like 2.5 years ago, around 20k ish miles ago

There's no dash light for brake pads yet. I took it to a few euro mechanics and one said there's 5mm left on rear and 6mm left on front and needs immediate replacing. Some said I'm good for 10 to 15k miles. One other said I'm good for a couple thousand miles

I'm super confused and I got a long drive of 3k miles coming up, mostly highway, canyon carving and some mountain passes. Is there a way I can manually check and confirm if the brakes need replacing?

I ordered brake pads (EBC yellow pads front and rear), rotors (GiroDisc twins for front and Zimmerman Z-coat for rear). I'm not sure which brake pad wear sensors to order. Does anyone know?

Should I carry these with me on the drive, just in case?

It's been 4 years with this car, absolutely love it. Although, with some health problems, I've driving it like a normal car for the most part. Some weekends, if my health permits, I bash it and thrash it around like crazy. I'm currently at 51k miles and I changed all my tires and brake pads once already and the dealer recommended that I change them soon. The stock ones only last like 25k miles?

Can anyone suggest brake pads and tires that can last a bit longer without compromising on the performance? Like maybe around 40k ish miles. It's a plus if they're cheaper than the Audi ones

I'm in Texas, we have like maybe 1 or 2 days of snow, some years.

I have a '24 Street Triple RS with 2k miles on it. I feel like my rear brake is not working properly. I felt this way when using rear brake only during slow speed corners

To test, I tried using rear brake only (no frotn brake) for a few miles and felt like the braking force was very less. It takes lot of foot pressure for so less braking force

***I understand that rear brake has less braking force overall. I'm trying to see if there's any issues with my rear brake***

Please help me by providing a few tips on how to test this. I don't use rear brake that much but will be happy to know that rear brake is working as expected when I need to use rear brake
