Has anyone purposely and successfully shrunk a hand knit garment? I do NOT want to restart, mostly because of the part shown here, but I tried it on and it’s just a little looser than I want.

Do we think I can successfully shrunk it down just a little?

The yarn is 70% merino, 20% cashmere, and 10% nylon. I don’t know how the nylon will interact with shrinking or how the others will felt or not felt.

I scraped a fence trying to get out when my neighbor blocked me in…

It’s an old car and I don’t need it to look like new, I just need this somewhat dealt with so it doesn’t rust.

Any body shops that will do small sections for a reasonable price? Also open to a handy person who’s done this themselves before (successfully) with a paint touch up kit. I know it can be done, I just don’t want to do it myself!
