Canadian applicant for Sciences Po PSIA September 2027 — questions and looking to connect

Hey! I'm a 21-year-old Canadian finishing a criminology degree at the University of Ottawa this June Looking into the Master in International Governance and Diplomacy at PSIA for September 2027 just already wanting to inquire ahead of time of course.

A few things I'm trying to figure out:

On Eiffel + Boutmy: I know Boutmy is automatic with the application. For Eiffel, I understand Sciences Po has to nominate me — does anyone know when Sciences Po typically opens their internal Eiffel nomination process and what they look for when choosing who to nominate?

On the application itself: Any tips from people who went through the international procedure? What made your dossier stand out? How important is the letter of motivation vs. academic record vs. extracurriculars?

On tuition brackets: Does Sciences Po assess tuition based on parental income or personal income if you can demonstrate financial independence?

Thanks in advance

Canadian inquiring about application for master's programs in France for September 2027 sharing my process and looking for advice

Hey everyone! I'm a 21-year-old Canadian finishing an Honours degree in Criminology at the University of Ottawa this June. I'm fully bilingual in French and English, did an exchange semester in Belgium in Fall 2025. My goal is to pursue a master's in international relations and diplomacy in Paris for September 2027.

Target schools:

- Sciences Po PSIA — Master in International Governance and Diplomacy (dream school)

- Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne — MRIAE

- Paris II Panthéon-Assas + Sorbonne — Master RI Politique Internationale

- Dauphine-PSL — Master International Affairs and Development

On scholarships because this is the most important thing. I've been researching two main options: Bourse Eiffel and Bourse Émile Boutmy (Sciences Po only)

My questions are:

- Any Canadians who went through this process recently? Would love to hear your experience

- Any tips on the Sciences Po application specifically as an international student?

- Best neighborhoods/arrondissements for students on a budget in Paris?

- Any tips for the Eiffel nomination process what makes a university choose to nominate you?

- How much are GPA, extracurricular activities, and other factors considered in the admissions process?
