Is it normal for a consulting company to ask you to recreate your CV in their own template before an offer?

I recently had a first-round interview with a technical manager at an engineering/IT consulting company in Germany. The interview went well, and afterward they asked me to recreate my CV using their internal template (a detailed profile plus a one-page profile).

They told me this profile would be used to present me to potential clients (for example, large companies they work with) to see if I'd be a good fit for upcoming projects.

I haven't received an offer yet, which is why I found it a bit unusual.

Is this a normal hiring process for consulting companies? Do they typically prepare consultant profiles and show them to clients before making an offer, or is this more of a red flag?

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has worked in consulting or project-based engineering/IT companies.
