The most stupidest thing I came across today

The most stupidest thing I came across today

What are your thoughts on this ?

The people who think glyn will kill her family for killian I don't know what kind of drugs they do, she can't even stand up for her bf against her family & some delulu people think she will kill her family for him 😂 lol .

Why does no one talks about jonathan assaulting elsa?! 🤬

People always drag Jonathan for not looking after Alicia. They hate him for being an awful father to Aiden & for marrying his dead wife’s sister.

But why does almost nobody talk about how he assaulted elsa?He deserves way more hate for that than anything else!I can never properly read the scene where this greasy old man breaks her hand 😖. It makes me feel sick to my stomach. Elsa was just a teenage girl who had absolutely zero fault in the past family drama.

A fully grown-ass man crossing the line with a literal child is just disgusting. He used his power as a billionaire adult to terrorize and physically hurt a high school student just to get revenge on her dad.

I seriously wished elsa would have told ethan and agnus about the assault. They should have kicked jonathan's scrawny ass for that! He deserved a massive beating for laying his hands on her.

Also, I rolled my eyes so hard every single time this bastard called elsa a "monster" throughout the trilogy. Like, are you serious? Look in the mirror! You and your son are the real monsters here, not her. The hypocrisy is unreal.

If anything, jonathan owed elsa everything. She was the one who protected aiden when they were kids. Without her, he might have lost his son completely.

I know rk writes dark characters, but this was too much. I don't care how popular his duet is—I can never forgive him for what he did to elsa.

Does anyone else get completely repulsed by that scene, I need to know I'm not alone in this!

Vigilante MMCs vs. Villain MMCs: Which do you prefer?

Just a quick question for my fellow dark romance readers! Which archetype do you prefer and why?

I’m 100% Team Villain MMC.Honestly, vigilantes just don’t do it for me—I think I find the 'righteous moral code' a bit boring or preachy in fiction. I want a hero who is unapologetically bad to the world and only soft for the fmc.

There's something about a character who is unhinged, selfish, and unapologetically bad that makes for a much better dark romance.

I would always prefer a straight-up villain who is selfish, chaotic, and willing to burn the world down with the FMC, rather than someone trying to play a dark Robin Hood.

I am sick of the one-sided ex drama in Romantasy. Bring on Violet and Kingfisher’s exes to make Xaden and Saeris jealous!

I need to vent because I am completely done with the unbalanced "Other Woman/Other Man" drama in these books. Why is it always the MMC's ex who comes back to cause drama, while the FMC's past is completely ignored?

Look at the double standards we’ve been getting lately:

Iron flame / Onyx storm:Violet has literally had to tolerate Catriona's presence and the emotional fallout across two whole books now. It is exhausting watching her have to deal with Xaden’s past constantly shoved in her face.

Quicksilver / Brimstone: Don't even get me started on Carrion and Taladius. It is the exact same unfair setup. Kingfisher had to tolerate Carrion's drama across two books, and then had to deal with Taladius for another full book. The scene where Saeris literally ran over and pressed her hands to Taladius's chest when he fell unconscious? 🤮 Absolute trash. It felt so incredibly unfair to Kingfisher after everything he’s put up with.

Why do authors only show the ex from one side of the couple? If you want to use the ex-drama trope to create tension, then make it a two-way street! For the upcoming books, I desperately want the authors to introduce Violet’s ex and Kingfisher’s ex. Let them enter the story, turn the tables, and make Xaden and Saeris absolutely feral with jealousy. They need to feel exactly what their partners had to go through.

Does anyone else hate when the jealousy trope is this one-sided? Give me the reverse jealousy drama already!

Who are the dark romance MMCs who make Rina Kent's MMCs look middle class?

I have read Rina Kent’s books and loved her ultra-wealthy heroes, but now I want to know who completely tops them.Who is the single most ridiculously, out-of-this-world wealthy MMC you’ve ever read? Give me the characters who redefine "filthy rich" and make Rina Kent's MMCs look middle class.Tell me who they are and the insane things they did in the book to prove how rich they are!

Things I don't want :

Age gap (not more than 6/7 years)

Cheating between the main characters (I don't mind if the mmc or fmc cheat on others to be with each other)

Sharing

Love triangle

Who is the most genuinely evil mmc to the outside world vs the mmc who is a good person but only toxic to his fmc?

Who do you guys think are the most cruel and evil MMCs?

I'll go

1.Jonathan : He clearly is the most evil MMC in the entire RK-verse and sits at the very top of my list. Even though it wasn't intentional, he killed thousands of workers in Ethan's factory and showed absolutely zero remorse afterward. He assaulted a 17-year-old girl and was completely ready to destroy her psychological mental health. He is the type of monster who can and will kill any innocent man, woman, or child just to achieve his goals.

2.Landon :- No need to explain his sins the fact that he ruins people's lives just for fun tells me how fucked up he is.

3.Kirill :- The absolute proof of how evil kirill is comes down to how low he is willing to go: when Rai threatened to expose his sexuality to the Brotherhood, he literally threatened to kill Asher, Reina, and Gareth just to keep his secret. If he is willing to kill an innocent family family like that, he is a true villain with zero boundaries.

4.Adrian :- I don't know what to say but he is there.

5.Kayden :- He wanted to wipe out an entire family just because a man was present when his wife was raped. It wasn’t even that man's fault, but kayden was ready to mass murder his whole bloodline anyway. 😭 (At this point, everyone in the Rinaverse wants to kill the Carson family, whether it's Kirill or Kayden! 😭)

MMCs I think that are good people if we keep aside their romantic relationships :

1.Bran & ronan :- These two are absolute angels 😇

2.Xander :- He never bullied or ruined anyone's life for fun

3.Asher :- Again he also never bullied or tormented anyone.

4.Kyle :- Yes, he is a lethal assassin but he mentions in his book that he doesn't kill innocent people & he is less cruel compared to jonathan, kirill , kayden or adrian.

The lack of "external validation" for Zade's attractiveness compared to other MMCs (like Rina Kent's)

I noticed something interesting about how Zade meadows is written in Haunting Adeline, and I wanted to see if anyone else picked up on this.

In many dark romance books—for example, Rina kent’s books—the author goes out of their way to show us how attractive the MMC is through the eyes of the world. Other women flirt with them, people swoon, and the narrative constantly acknowledges their physical impact on the people around them.

With Zade, H.D. Carlton didn't really write him that way. You don’t see other people or side characters constantly swooning over him or trying to flirt with him. Outside of adeline, his attractiveness isn't really validated by the rest of the book's world.

To me, this made him feel less traditionally attractive compared to MMCs in other books where their beauty is heavily emphasized by everyone around them. I'm just stating what I noticed in the text itself!

Zade lovers, please don't come at me! I'm genuinely curious: Do you prefer when an author makes the whole world obsessed with the MMC's looks (like Rina Kent), or do you prefer when his appeal is strictly focused through the heroine's eyes?

Cecily’s hypocrisy is absolutely infuriating—she is a literal Mother Teresa for the wrong men.

She spent months making jeremy grovel, crawl, for her forgiveness after he choked her. But landon and creighton? They literally tried to KILL the man she claims she loves, and they get a total free pass.

Before anyone in the comments tries to argue that she "didn't gaf about landon after the fire incident"—yes she did. She was literally laughing and talking with him at glyn’s birthday party while jeremy was standing right there trying his hardest to win her back landon literally tried to kill her man, and she’s giggling with him. I expected her to go total bitch mode against landon and creigh .

Look at mia! mia acted total bitchy against niko , killian, and maya when they jumped on lan. Meanwhile, cecily acts like a literal saint to the guys destroying her life.

The audacity she had to tell jeremy not to hurt creighton after he literally used her trust to kidnap his sister, is beyond me. She was protecting the kidnapper over her own man’s family!

Plus, she even used her dad, xander, to send jeremy away while he was grovelling. It's a good thing xander didn't go full "Cole mode" and send goons to beat Jeremy up & only asked to leave her daughter alone. If something had happened to him during that time, it would have been 100% cecily’s fault.

Also, can we talk about how lucky she is adrian didn't destroy her for her accidental role in Annika's kidnapping. Adrian showed her mercy, unlike how certain other parents (cough Aiden cough) would react.

I cannot stand how cecily treats jeremy like a villain for months after he chokes her, but turns into an absolute doormat the second landon or creighton breathe in her direction. Landon actively put her life in danger at the initiation. Creighton used her trust to kidnap Annika and drag Cecily into a mess that wasn't hers.

Yet, she forgives Lan and Creigh without a second thought, protects them, and keeps their secrets—all while making Jeremy jump through hoops to earn his way back into her good graces.

If you're going to stand up for yourself and demand respect, demand it from everyone, not just the guy who is actually in love with you.

She demands ultimate respect from jeremy but lets the elite boys walk all over her & her relationship .Jeremy deserved so much better than her double standards.

Unpopular Opinion: Christian Harper deserved so much better in Twisted Lies

I know Christian is generally a fan favorite, but the more I reread Twisted Lies, the more I feel like he honestly deserved better.

I seriously do not know what Christian saw in Stella. She genuinely is so boring, and there were zero efforts from her side. Honestly, the whole relationship felt completely one-sided to me.

Look at what Christian did for her:

Lowered her rent just so she could live comfortably.

Paid the medical bills for her nanny without hesitation.Literally protected her from a dangerous, real-life stalker.

And what did Stella actually do for him? When she found out Christian had kept tabs on her, she just up and left. She shouldn’t have. It’s not like he was stalking her in a creepy, unhinged way like Zade Meadows or Joe Goldberg! 😂 She felt that heartbroken over a relatively little thing after everything he did to keep her safe.

Also, can we talk about that scene where Christian comes home drunk from the bar trying to make Stella jealous? She didn't even care, and it gave me the absolute worst second-hand embarrassment.

I genuinely wished Christian could have ended up with someone else entirely.

Why does no one talks about aiden raping elsa ?

I have seen in this sub people always complaining about kill being a rapist yet no one talks about aiden he sa'ed elsa many times if killian's deed is found out by kings he would be dead but what about aiden wouldn't he also deserves to be six feet under, wouldn't ethan & agnus kill him if they found out he harrassed elsa so many times, i wish ethan was more skeptical towards him , he quickly unfolded.

I want to discuss about this book there aren't any posts about this book on this sub I am completely devastated 😭 how can the fmc cheat on the mmc the author should have already mentioned there would be cheating in it because emotional cheating does count as cheating i have never been this frustrated with an fmc before atleast the other fmcs are loyal i have seen people on good reads getting mad at the mmc because he rapes the fmc when he founds about the betrayal but i was more mad at adela everything was good between them & then the author has to go ruin it .

Why does everyone overlook what Aiden did to Elsa, but constantly brings up Killian?

Everyone always points out Killian’s initial non-con scene with Glyndon in God of Malice. The common argument is always: "If Levi or the King men found out what Killian did, he would be completely dead."

However, looking back at the timeline, Aiden committed multiple acts of SA against Elsa. If we are being logically consistent with how protective these families are, Ethan and Agnus should have completely erased Aiden from existence the second those boundaries were crossed.

How do you think ethan would have actually reacted if he knew the full extent of their relationship?

Unpopular Opinion: Glyn doesn’t actually love Killian (She just loves being prioritized)

I’ve been re-reading God of Malice and paying close attention to Glyn’s actual inner monologues, and it hit me: Glyn doesn't love Killian. If you look closely at her thoughts, she never actually processes or expresses deep, genuine romantic love for him the way protagonists usually do. Instead, her attachment to him is entirely situational.

Glyn has spent so much of her life feeling overlooked, dealing with her family's shadow, and carrying her trauma. Then Killian comes along. Yes, he is unhinged, stalks her, and forces his way into her life—but he also puts her above absolutely everything and everyone else. To Killian, she is the entire universe.Glyn isn't with him because of who he is as a person. She is with him because he made her feel seen and fiercely prioritized above everything else for the first time in her life.

It’s not love; it’s a trauma response to finally being someone's absolute number one choice.

How do you think the families would react if the MMCs' dirty laundry actually aired out? 😭

Now that all the Rina Kent couples are happily settled down and living their best lives, I can’t stop thinking about one hilarious (and terrifying) scenario.

What if the absolute worst, darkest things the MMCs did during their books actually leaked to their in-laws? 💀

  1. The Kings finding out about Killian & Glyndon

How do you think king family would react if they found out the full, unfiltered truth about Killian forcing Glyndon to give him a blowjob on the cliff during their very first encounter?

  1. What would Xander do if he discovered that Jeremy actually played a literal game of Russian roulette with Cecily?

  2. How would Cole react if he found out the actual reason why ava married eli in the first place?

  3. What would Kyle and Rai do if they found out Landon kidnapped Nikolai, which was the real reason Niko ended up in the ER? On top of that, how would all the Heathens parents react if they discovered Landon was the one who orchestrated the mansion on fire while all their kids were trapped inside?

Am I the only one who thinks Glyndon’s family treated Killian horribly?

I am deeply Killian-biased, and the way Glyndon’s toxic clan treated him infuriates me. The Kings were incredibly skeptical and over-the-top with Killian, which is wild considering how nicely Asher and Reina always treated Glyn.

Yes, I know Glyn came home crying to Jonathan, but are they seriously going to hold that over Killian for the rest of his life?

Jonathan explicitly threatened him with severe facial disfigurement, stating, "Your parents won't recognise you once we are done with you." What does that mean would his parents be okay with it 😖?

Landon literally waterboarded him and hit him with a car .

How does Reina like Landon? When Mia introduced Lan, Reina seemed totally fine with him. Does she just not know ? Or does she just ignored it.

Glyn's family are abusers they physically and verbally abused killian
