Lovesac vs. 7th Avenue
I bought a Lovesac and have been really happy with it, but after seeing so many glowing reviews for 7th Avenue, I definitely had some FOMO. I hadn’t been able to try one before buying, so I kept wondering if maybe I had made the wrong choice.
A 7th Avenue showroom finally opened near us, and I went in honestly thinking I might regret my Lovesac purchase.
I didn’t. 😂
For reference, my Lovesac is deep seats, angled backs, LoveSoft, and Ultra Velvet in Abyss.
For me, the biggest difference is the angled backs on the Lovesac. I just think they are so much more comfortable. The 7th Avenue back is straight and also a little lower. On my Lovesac, I can lean back and get at least a little neck support from the back pillow. I got basically none on the 7th Avenue.
I could also feel the couch back through the 7th Avenue cushion a little. You can add more filling, which is a nice feature, but for me the straight back was still the bigger issue.
The 7th Avenue cushions are very soft, actually softer than LoveSoft. Some people will probably love that, but I personally preferred the feel of mine.
I will say 7th Avenue is really pretty. It definitely has more of an RH vibe, and if that’s the look you want, I completely understand the appeal, especially at a much lower price than RH.
They also did the stain test in the showroom and spilled Diet Coke on the fabric, which wiped right off. That was pretty cool. My Ultra Velvet is also extremely water resistant, though, so that wasn’t something that made me wish I had gone another direction.
Bottom line, I would definitely sit on both if you can. But I walked into 7th Avenue thinking I might regret buying my Lovesac and walked out thinking, nope, I really love my couch. 😂
