Arrived today. Didnt really need anything to get working besides the flint tube clearing of old dusty flint

Repaired this ronson lighter a while back, probably 2 or 3 weeks after I noticed the gas output was crazy. No flame on the lowest setting and like a jet on the highest. Decided to take the outlet valve apart and saw this. Im guessing its contaminated with rust from something but does anyone have any idea what it could be before I replace the parts and put it back together? I dont want to ruin the valve again.

Guessing its from the glue but slightly concerned how its turned Green. Cigar has been separated from other cigars and depending what people think will either be binned or smoked
