Rob Doo was actually trying to be a reporter at one point!

So I've been revisiting KF's backlog for the past year or so, and in episode 215, there is evidence of Rob . . . Deux? Dois? I don't know how to spell it, and frankly I don't respect the man enough to care, so I'm just gonna go with Doo . . . of Rob Doo trying to act with journalistic integrity.

To summarize, he came back from an interview on the government's tracking of domestic terrorism, and told Alex of what he had heard and written, then refrained from speculating or making stuff up. Alex became very animated, insisting that "they didn't need to get neurotic about it," and that Rob should share all he had to say.

Needless to say, it was fascinating to see someone we have long known as an InfoGoon actually trying to report something responsibly, and then tragically hilarious to see him get dragged down into the tabloid muck by his employer. Might he have had a legitimate career in journalism had he taken a job from a non-sociopath? We may never know.

This pivotal moment of Rob Doo's was around the 1hr 98m mark for anyone curious about it, but wanting to skip the rampant misogyny that occupied the rest of the episode.

We Can Still be Wonks

First off, I love that the boys ended their live show on You Belong to the City. It was just a nice little moment to go out on.

But the point of this is that when the end of Knowledge Fight was announced, I saw some posts asking what would become of this community. The show may not be ongoing, but it still gave us a lot of fun and horrible stuff to talk about. I think this will remain a place where people can have fun and share bright spots for however long we want it to.

Case in point, I saw this truck a couple weeks ago, and I choose to believe the license plate is meant to say "Two Wonks." Have fun and stay safe out there, my fellow wonks!

In the episode End of the Road, Dan said that he felt like he'd "done it." I happen to have recently started re-listening to the Knowledge Fight backlog, and in the early episodes of the show Dan explained that his goal was not to destroy Alex Jones, but to reveal him for what he is. To provide context and evidence so that other people can see through Alex's particular style of deceit.

Well, I have to say, you did it my dude. You did exactly what you set out to do. And not to downplay Jordan's contribution. Without his constant laughter and personality, I would never have been able to stomach the subject matter on its own and thus, there wouldn't really have been a show.

I'm sad to see you guys go, but I congratulate you for carrying it this far and doing such a thorough job. Knowledge Fight stands as the ultimate indictment of the lies and hypocrisy of the alt-right, but also a shining example of what true, legitimate research looks like.

Farewell to you gents, and may you always live rent-free in the minds of your enemies.
