I was browsing MTG Top8 looking for some new decks to try out, and a question popped into my head: why is Vivi seeing so little play? Isn't it a viable alternative to Spider-Man? Are there any specific reasons why it's weak in the current meta?

Also, how would you build around it? What creatures and playstyle would you go for? Tempo, Control, or something else entirely?

I'm looking to switch commanders since Spiderman 2099 has become quite boring to play for me.

Staying in Izzet, I'd really like to build Ghyrson. But despite Ward 2, I'm under the impression that a couple of removal spells or a counter on him just ruins your entire game plan.

Is he really that much of a glass cannon? Do you have any tips, decklists to share, or opinions on his viability?

I need some help building a new Commander deck around Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls.

I really like the idea of including effects that "buy me some time" during the game.

I'm looking for things like forced combat/mass goad, classic Rakdos chaos effects (maybe random wheel/discard effects), and cards that discourage people from attacking me or prevent it entirely, like Silent Arbiter.

The main goal is to create a massive chaotic board state where I'm the only one benefiting from the madness, while using life drain effects to keep myself alive and healthy.

Does anyone have any cool card suggestions or advice for this strategy? It sounds like a ton of fun to play.
