Can someone explain how Tivit, Seller of Secrets win?

Can someone explain how Tivit, Seller of Secrets win?

I'm specifically looking at the B4 [[Tivit, Seller of Secrets]].

I believe that the combo is centered around [[Time Sieve]]?

As i understand, the Tivit + Time Sieve combo only works if you have 3 or more opponents. What happens after 1 player is eliminated? How do you win if they have huge flying blockers or maybe threatening a combo win on their next turn?

Im pretty sure i'm missing something.

Thank you in advance!

You need to know this combo

Lots of elf decks will already run these 3, so here’s the combo:

Badgermole, devoted druid, and Ezuri on the battlefield.

1 mana available, devoted doesn’t have summoning sickness.

Activate devoted druid, adding GG

Untap druid, activate again.

Spend extra mana to activate Ezuri for 5 mana, giving devoted druid +3 toughness.

Use said toughness to untap and activate 3 more times, adding 6 mana.

Activate Ezuri for 5 mana again, repeat.

Net: infinite G mana, infinite Ezuri activations. With just these out devoted can swing for infinite damage, that’s the worst case scenario.

I have a lot more niche elf combos, take a look if you’re a fan of the tribe! Here’s my primer:

I made the worst Mimeoplasm combo for sEDH

Hey all, I like to build commander decks with standard cards and this is [[Mimeoplasm, Revered One]]

Like his previous printing, Mimeoplasm specializes in taking your graveyard and turning into a cheap, squishier copy of whatever creature tickles your fancy. However, new Mimeoplasm has the added benefit of being able to exile multiple creatures, as many as you want provided you have the mana. This makes him similar to the old [[Marisil the Pretender]] decks that use to float around for you old heads like me. And much like these decks, Mimeoplasm bends himself into the time honored strategy of combo slop. But, we are very limited in standard when it comes to infinites, so how do we pull it off?

Well..

I have discovered a "plausible" but objectively rough infinite that I will now devote this entire deck into trying to make happen. The good news is some of the cards are interchangeable and the cards are not bad on their own. The bad news is, well everything else. To begin with, you need to cast the Mimeoplasm exiling either [[Doc Samson, Super Psychiatrist]] or [[Mona Lisa, Science Geek]], [[Ahriman]], [[Unliving Legionnaire]], and either [[Mightform Harmonizer]] [[Mossborn Hydra]] or [[Tifa Lockheart]] (you've got some instants and sorceries that do it too but for simplicity sake this is the basic combo), [[Glamermite]] in hand, and 4 mana available

-Pay 2 to turn Mimeo into your power doubler, play land, Mimeo is now at 24 power (12 counters for exiling 4 creatures)

-Pay 2 to turn Mimeo into Doc/Mona, tap to add 24 blue mana

-Pay Glamermite (21 B) untap Mimeo, tap him again adding 24 black mana

-Pay 2 (21U 21B) to turn Mimeo into Ahriman, pay 3 (21U 18B) to sacrifice the Glamermite and draw a card

-Pay 2 (19U 18B) to turn Mimeo into Unliving Legionnaire and activate his power up returning Glamermite to hand and adding a counter to Mimeo (19U 11B)

-Pay 2 to turn Mimeo back into Doc/Mona (17U 18B)

-Cast Glamermite untapping Mimeo (14U 18B)

-Tap Mimeo for blue or black, whichever you need and turn him back into Ahriman, continuing the loop from there

This results in you drawing a card, putting another counter on Mimeo, and making an absurd amount of mana each time the loop is completed. We can accomplish this loop thanks to a nifty ruling that says when Mimeo turns into something with exhaust or power-up (probably why he premiered in Aetherdrift) you can use that same ability again even if it was already used by an earlier Mimeoplasm copy.

Oh and if that fails we could also just turn him into [[Kotis the Fangkeeper]] with a power doubler and just start drowning in villainous wealth or mill people out with [[Riverchurn Monument]] and [[Jidoor, Aristocratic Capital]]/[[Singularity Rupture]]/[[Kitsune's Technique]]. That works too.

If you guys have any commanders you want to see I'd be happy to hear. Building these decks has been a blast and a real challenge and has reminded me why I love this game so much. Cheers and thanks for reading.

Captain America Living Legend Deck help

Hey guys,

I saw this commander and instantly wanted to build him - I really love activated abilities!

I've seen lots of different builds, some cool ones with half artifacts, ones completely focused on vehicles or just on activated abilities.

Anyone got any advise on what direction to go? I'm a huge fan of pingers and untap effects, paired with something like willbreaker, but also open to going down the artifact route if we think that's better.

I made a start on a list, but I've got a little stuck for inspiration :,)

Thanks!

Hi guys, can you show me decks that win consistently at turn 4?

If possible it should be on a budget. I have a lot of cards I can use of course, but I’d prefer not having to spend a lot of money on a deck I’m just building to make the guys I’m playing with taste their own medicine.
They usually play much higher decks in our pods and my decks are usually too weak to compete and that’s pretty annoying and taking the fun out of it.
Reason why I’m asking for specific deck lists is that I just started playing recently and don’t really know how to build strong decks, I do have a some good cards.

Repeatable Removal in Dimir?

I'm brewing up [[Lazav, Dimir Mastermind]] as a moderately strong Bracket 3 deck. But instead of leaning heavily into mill to fish for good creatures to copy, I want to focus on removing other people's creatures from the board to copy them.

The gameplan is to grind the the table out of resources while keeping my hand decently full. I'd really like to include a lot of repeatable methods of creature removal, so I'm not losing a card from my hand every time I want to destroy and copy creature. It can be a standalone card like [[Royal Assassin]] or multiple cards that work together like [[Doom Blade]] + [[Archeomancer]] + [[Saw in Half]]. Preferably not combos that require very specific pieces that would otherwise be dead cards in my hand. Like [[Rooftop Storm]] + [[Gravecrawler]] + [[Gravepact]] + a sac outlet OUTSIDE of a Zombies deck, for example. But I'm open to hearing them and changing my mind.

Looking forward to see what y'all come up with!

Suggestions for Deck: The Reaper, King No More

Hey y'all! I've drafted my first Commander deck completely from scratch for The Reaper, King No More. Up until now I've mostly modified precons or borrowed lists from friends, so I'd love some feedback before I start buying cards.

The game plan is to spread -1/-1 counters, keep opposing boards weak, and steal my opponents' creatures with The Reaper. Rather than comboing off, I'm hoping to grind out value by repeatedly controlling the board and turning my opponents' creatures against them (although I still have some combos in it).

My biggest concern is the mana curve. It's a little higher than I'd like, and I'd love to get the average mana value closer to the 2–3 range without losing too much power.

I'm also not very familiar with tutors. I know the deck could probably benefit from a few, but I'm trying to stay on a reasonable budget, so I'd especially appreciate recommendations for inexpensive options.

Any feedback is welcome, but I'm particularly interested in:

  • Cards that seem underwhelming or unnecessary.
  • Any glaring weaknesses in the deck.
  • Ways to lower the curve.
  • Budget tutor recommendations or other upgrades.

The second doctor as a commander - wincons?

My devious "group hug" commander, where I am trying to make a deck that I can win off of having good stuff in my hand, constant card draw value, and profiting off of my opponents being forced to carry cards.

The moxfield is a work in progress, but I sometimes struggle with king making, especially when I have my commander out or other items allowing everyone to have no max handsize. the cards I selected are just a sample of the flavor. Any thoughts on how to fine tune the deck, it may never be a solid bracket 4 but I at least need a better bracket 3

Help with Bracket 4 Yawgmoth, Thran Physician Deck

TLDR: Looking for any advice on cuts/adds you would make, your favorite Yawgmoth combos, favorite cards, to ultimately make this a SOLID bracket 4 deck. Budget isn't an issue.

Here is the deck list: https://archidekt.com/decks/19272848/yawgmoth_thran_malpractice

Hey guys, looking for some advice on my Yawgmoth commander deck. I love this deck (black is my favorite color in magic) and I think Yawgmoth is one of the best commanders that showcase what black wants to do.

I originally built this to be a bracket 3 deck, but felt it's true spot resided in Bracket 4. I love how explosive the deck can be, drawing a bunch of cards, removing opponents key creatures, etc. I want advice from other OG Yawgmoth pilots on any adds or cuts you would make to my list. I want it to be very refined bracket 4 list that I can pull out to COMPETE.

Please share any/all of the below items, i'm super curious to see what you guys have!

  • Any advice/thoughts on the deck
  • Adds/Cuts you would make and why
  • Your own deck lists
  • Favorite ways to win, favorite combos, favorite cards to play in Yawgmoth

Help me with my Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan brew

Hi! I recently decided to break apart my [[Felisa, Fang of the Silverquill]] deck in order to build a [[Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan]] one.

I always wanted to play an Abzan deck but I don’t have a lot of familiarity with green, so I’m having trouble implementing some cards (especially the ramp ones). I‘m thinking about a 1 into 3 cmc ramp strat, but I’m not quite sure about it.

Plus, I’m leaving out the aristocrat options because I feel like they water down the gameplay, weakening the main strat of putting counters on creatures and swing hard with them, so my current focus is on counters and recursion, with a splash of sacrifice value in order to keep other’s boards at bay.

I am not against combos but I don’t want to change the whole deck in order to play an infinite that goes nowhere, the ones that I put into where almost a casualty of frantic deck building. However, I don’t mind suggestions on how to make them work (I feel like they are inconclusional atm).

I kinda want to play in a b3/b4 spot, so feel free to suggests game changers and all (although I wanted to keep it relatively low budget).

Thanks to everyone who will help with this trainwreck of a deck, here is the link to it https://archidekt.com/decks/23989208/io_so_smack

Can this boy be degenerated into bracket 4 at all?

I've tried degenerating this deck as much as possible, trying to have as much protection and burst draw as allowed. Shigeki and any recursion spell get infinite almost instantly, umbral mantle is infinite the turn it comes in, and many +1/+1 counters have innate protection:

The thing is that i'm not even sure he can get into higher brackets without some bullshittery ongoing. Maybe Kogla and the tower scout? Some other combos? I don't know if fast mana is viable, since i'm on a budget more or less.

Right now, the only combos I'm doing are [[hurricane]] + [[infirmary healer]] or [[glaciar godmaw]] and infinite combos onto dorks.

Please guys, be honest. Can this guy even leave bracket 2? Become bracket 4 AT ALL?

It feels like a stupid idea that only works when goldfishing, and that's it.

I'm hoping to know what are your thoughts!

2/4/7 Mana Dork in the CZ

Recently learned about the 2/4/7 battle cruiser commanders by having a mana dork in the command zone and was curious about the power level of said dorks. [[Bugenhagen, Wise Elder]], [[Red Death, Shipwrecker]], and [[Radha, Heir to Keld]] seem to be best options for a high 3 low 4 but curious what the ceiling is here and all of your thoughts on making them as busted as possible

Deck idea(not really degenerating) Chaos on the Board

Just looking for chaotic g/r card ideas alongside better commander recommendations.

I've been wanting to make a Gruul deck based off of just being a hazard on the field and going all in on randomization and chaos. Cards like [[Thieves' Auction]], [[Possibility Storm]], [[Wild evocation]], [[Grip of Chaos]], [[Goblin Game]], [[Living Plane]], [[Nature's Revolt]] and [[Descent into Avernus]].

The entire point of the deck is to throw off the entire course of the game, every game will be different by a landslide and so much more chaotic.

For Commander Ideas, the first two that come into mind here is either [[Bello, Bard of the Brambles]] or [[Jolene, the Plunder Queen]].

Bello because I figured that because most chaotic spells are enchantments, it would give attackers, and some protection on my turn. My main worry with him is that I would be usually vulnerable outside of my turn. I don't want to go the usual Bello Stax route.

Jolene was my 2nd guess because I can cheat out a lot of things on the field with the deck being with treasure tokens alongside it being a good politicking tool before shit hits the fan. Also thematically the chaos and her being a "Plunder Queen" is amazing.
I can also have a lot more consistent damage output with her.

hell maybe there's a non-gruul commander that is so much more perfect for what I am trying to do.
