Asked before, but with a slight twist…if you didn’t have kids BUT had the urge / yearning to have them, do you regret not having them?
I’m currently 32, and I have always kind of wanted kids, and now I’m in my 30s I’m like 95% sure I do and currently “letting nature happen or not happen”
My partner is indifferent to having kids. I just sometimes worry about what we might pass onto them (mental health issues, adhd & autism lives in us both) and then this world is just a mess and do I want to bring a child into that?
As a counter point, sometimes I feel it’s our duty to bring a well rounded child into the world to help balance some of the bad etc. - I think I would be a good mum, and my partner would be a good dad.
Anyway, if you’re older than me (40s / 50s+) would love to hear your thoughts. I’ve seen a lot of these posts but a lot of answers are women who have never wanted kids anyway so I’m looking for a bit of a different demographic!
