DO LORs
So I am currently in a gap year getting ready to apply to med schools, and I realized that I do not have any DO LORs for my AACOMAS applications. I have over 60 shadowing hours (due to a program my undergrad offered), but I did the program 2 years ago and did not ask for LORs because I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to be a doctor back then. Now, I’m not sure what to do. I don’t have any family/friends who are doctors, and I don’t even live in my hometown anymore to connect with acquaintances of my family. I also don’t have a personal doctor myself that I could ask to write one for me.
What do you guys recommend? Cold calling offices to shadow? I’ve already done over 60 hours of shadowing, so I really just need a LOR from someone who knows me 😫😫
