How strict is the Math Dep with Pre Reqs?

Trying to take math 4a concurrently with math 3b in the summer session A. Looking at the syllabus and through googling, Math 4a(Linear Algebra)has virtually none math 3B(Calc II) concepts. I feel prepared despite how there’s a pre req block. Is it possible to get a pre requisite clearance code in your experience?. I believe gold hard blocks the registration. Thank you for the input

How strict are CCs for pre reqs?.

I’m a student at a college who wants to take linear algebra over the summer at CC without completing calc 2. Linear algebra doesn’t use many calc two concepts looking at the syllabus, and due to my school requiring calculus II to take it, I’m trying to take it at a CC. Are there any CCs in California which are very lenient on math pre reqs and don’t have a hard block registration system? Ones that won’t block registration. Thank you!

I’m considering moving to Seattle from SoCal and wherever I mention this, people just give me blank stares. I’ve stumbled across some ‘best place to live?’ Threads and they’re always dominated Chicago, and California places, particularly SF, LA, and San Diego. Thing is, Seattle seems to have everything what this sub is looking for:
- Best nature access in the lower 48,
- plenty of things to do outside of the city,
- great public transport
- Isn’t too hot/cold
- Strong job market(even now)
- Very blue/progressive
-Cheaper than SF/LA, or other cities such as NYC/Boston
-No state income tax
-great food(especially seafood and Asian cuisine)
-Underrated arts and cultural scene

Is it just the weather?(which by itself isn’t too bad at all compared to the Midwest winters and southern summers). I can’t seem to think of other negatives compared to SF/SoCal/Chicago. Maybe there’s less to do?. Seattle is still a huge city with all the amenities you could ask for.
