Has anyone else noticed Lindo Channel getting worse lately?

I live very close to Lindo Channel, and lately I've noticed a lot more trash around the area, especially now that it's summer. Has anyone else noticed this?

I've also been seeing more homeless people around the channel again, and honestly it's been making the area feel less safe. At night I can hear people yelling from the channel, and there's one man who often walks along W. Lindo yelling for long periods of time. A few months ago I called the police about the constant yelling, but they told me there wasn't really anything they could do.The police told me that yelling by itself isn't illegal, but honestly, hearing someone screaming at 4 a.m. is terrifying. That's why I'm not taking walks anymore.

What's it like living in Northridge outside of CSUN?

I'm currently living in Northern California, and honestly, it's been pretty boring where I am. I'll be transferring to CSUN for the Spring semester, and I'm curious about what Northridge is like outside of campus.

Are there good places to hang out, restaurants, cafés, or things to do nearby? How's the overall vibe, is it a safe area, and what are the people like? I'd love to hear your experiences or any advice for someone who's new to the area :) thanks

Family Village vs. Off-Campus One Bedroom Apartment

I'm a prospective transfer student considering CSUN in next spring, and I'm trying to decide whether it would be better to live in Family Village or rent a one-bedroom apartment off campus. I'll be living with my spouse, and having our own private one bedroom space is very important to us. For those who currently live or have lived in Family Village, would you recommend it? I'd love to hear about your experiences regarding safety, noise levels, maintenance, internet, parking, and the overall living environment. If you've also rented a one-bedroom apartment off campus, do you think that was a better option, or would you choose Family Village instead? Since I'll be new to the area, any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated :)

Clothes to sell at a thrift store?

There’s a thrift store in Sacramento that buys the clothes you want to sell. I was wondering if there’s anything similar here in Chico. I have clothes in very good condition that I want to sell
