Calendar Man: "November 2nd. A day for 'Pan de Muerto' and marigolds. Most people simply mark the dates with a red pen, but I’ve always preferred a more permanent ink. It’s a day dedicated to remembering the dead... so I thought it only fitting to ensure the living had someone new to join them.

I remember helping a local community once. They were so needy, so eager for a 'special' treat. I personally baked the bread—dozens of loaves, each with a bit of extra orange scent and my own... special sauce. It’s quite easy to hide the taste of 'extra' ingredients when everyone is already blinded by the celebration.

They loved it. I loved seeing them smile as they ate... right up until the moment my sauce took hold. In a matter of minutes, they were finally with their loved ones. Day of the Dead indeed."
