Looking for Camping near Cherry Springs State Park

Hi all! I am planning a camping trip soon. The main goal is stargazing, but I have to bring my dog with me, so actually going to cherry springs isn't an option. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with specific roadside campsites around the Susquehannock forest and can recommend any that are good for stargazing (limited canopy coverage). Thanks so much!

What is the best way to clean my ceiling and walls to prep for painting?

Hi all! I am painting a room by myself, but I have never painted anything before. I know the walls need to be clean in order for the paint to stick properly, I am wondering how clean they need to be. The walls here are covered in grime, fly poop, writing, dirt, and what looks like coffee drips. Most people I've spoken to have said you don't need to clean your walls that thoroughly, but I don't think they understand that these things aren't coming off with just a light wipe with a washcloth and some wall cleaner. I really want to scrub the walls, but I've heard that's bad because it damages the paint (which i don't understand because I'm going to paint over it?)

I am also running into the issue that the ceiling is similarly dirty, but I am short, so reaching it is a struggle, even when standing on something. All the wall cleaner just comes showering back down on me and I get out of breath really fast trying to wipe the ceiling down. Frankly, I have no idea what I'm doing and I think I've been spackling really poorly as well, so the whole thing is just a shit show. I would really appreciate any advice, as I feel like I'm going insane at the moment. Thanks!
