Why do people like circle pits? Make it make sense.

To clarify I don’t like death metal where people intentionally try to draw blood for no reason and throw elbows just to find an excuse to assault people.

I just don’t understand the appeal of a circle pit. I ask this after recently seeing my favorite band, Silverstein, that was taken over by a circle pit. I have seen them every time they come to town for decades at this point., and several times out of state and have never seen a huge circle pit take over the entire show. I left slightly irritated.

I don’t mind it for a couple songs, even though I don’t understand it, but the entire show, every single song, there was just a giant circle pit. Probably the biggest I’ve seen which is cool and all but I can’t take part in a normal mosh pit without just being swept up into running in a circle.

No breakdown? Let’s just walk in a circle.

Make it make sense. Thanks.
